Im moving to nsw from vic, ive still got about 12 months to go on my ps. would ya say i should wait till then to transfer, its just ive been on the rta website and its concerning me with the whole p2 thing (100k limit?) and the test needed to go onto a full license. (ive sussed out i can just change the postal address with vicroads so i can still get my rego stickers) to complicate things ive also got a motorbike probationary license as well with about 6 months to go. any help would be appreaciated
I don't see why you have to change it over, but it would avoid the test for full license
yeah i dont think its such a big deal as well, i just wont my life to be as uncomplicated as possible
Is it really worth the risk of losing you license?
Sure, P plate restrictions can be annoying, likewise the test that 90% of other road users never had to do, but if your found to be living in another state without changing your license, you will get a fine, and lose the license.
This is from TSA, not sure if other states have longer or shorter times limits.
New residents
New residents must apply for a licence and register their vehicles in South Australia within three months of arrival.
