hello all,
My father and I are in the car detailing business where we wash private cars with a waterless wash solution. We go to various companies where we wash and detail staff vehicles. We reside in Melbourne where we've been getting some hot days over the past few weeks. When it comes to washing windows, all these cars are parked under direct sunlight where there is no shade what so ever. When we spray window cleaner on the glass, we always end up streaking the damn thing since the glass solution just evaporates so quickly. I was just curious if any of you have any tips on cleaning windows under direct sunlight that provides minimal to no streaks?
thank you![]()

CD tuner: Alpine CDA-9884E with Ipod interface
Front speakers: Alpine Type R SPR-17S 6.5 component speakers, powered by a avant-garde 23dxi 2 channel amplifier - 2x51 watt RMS
Rear speakers: pioneer coaxials connected to tuner
Subwoofer: Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" 2 ohm dual voice coil 500 watts RMS powered by a response precision 2x150 watts RMS 2 channel amp bridged to 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
I can't see the logic in spraying the solution on a micro-fibre cloth as it's main purpose is to absorb.....

If you are in business I imagine your suppliers and their competitors have supplied contact details, therefore why don't you ring them and ask advice on the best way to use their products in certain conditions.
I understand the core of your business is to clean without water, however in extreme temperatures, could you not first spray a surface with cool water to reduce the temperature then use your product?
try sprayin onto the window and wiping straight off with a cloth in the other hand
i usually keep rubbing it till i see no streaks, then go away for a bit then come back & just wipre with a dry rag. works for me![]()
thanks for all your suggestions guys, I have found that if i dilute the window solution with a bit of water, it helps quite a bit. I have also found that wiping the solution vertically and then wiping it off horizontally (or vice versa) has helped quite a bit. Time is a bit of a factor as time=money. We can't afford to find shade and wait for the car to cool down.

Yeah maybe dilute windex or plain water in a spray bottle, just cover with a fine mist.
