250k - 400k depemdimg om how often i work ohhhhhhh and I am superman
Im sure theres some official stats somewhere, but in my experience ur average retail job is around 40k, tradie 50-60k, and anyone with a uni degree would be selling themselves short working for less than 65k.
I just saw on The Australian website (I think) that the average wage hovers around $1200 a week gross.
So thats $62,400 a year before tax.
i'm a tradie painter working for a cheap ass company earning 1520 a fortnight after tax...... but on the flip side i get 2 rdos a month and do next to nothing lol
whats the difference between my missus and my blower??
well they both whine but the blower actually puts out
Depends on age and experience ,average pay is only a guide some get more some less
Also depends where you are able to work, what qualifications you have etc etc.
I'm a plastering sub-contractor and my gross pay varies year-to year (dependent on how much work is on). Last year I turned over $106,000. Don't forget that I supply all my own materials and I don't get holiday pay, sick pay or super. The figure looks good on paper but after my expenses it's not that great.
Also factor in your age. Been junior (under 21) the pay is shit. I am fairly confident it's 75% of the award wage of been over 21. All i know is i am 20 and i am on 27,500 and year and it is balls. BUT i am applying for the police force so i have that to look forward to in the upcoming month
It's not all bad eh I'm a 3rd year sparky at Bluescope and took home 45k last year just depends on your feild and where you work but there Are some good jobs out there
all depends on what you wanna do. you could be an accountant and earn 70-80k easily. but that means 4 years of uni, and shit boring work (imho, i did general maths)
Sure, trades get abit less, but you keep fit, get out and about, and is generally more challenging, in a good way. half of your waking life is spent at/or thinking about work, might as well make it something you enjoy, regardless of the money, cause its your life. i know some ppl who just chase the dollar, while on paper they are successful, i know they are anything but happy. All about my balance

On the flip side, my job is pretty cruise most the time and I get to work for bluechip clients.
Though job security is not an issue for me, so I supposed that's worth something.
