there is one on bell street, people get done all the time. i am fine with it. slow down or pay the price
do a barrel roll?
Im sure Vic has had these for ages already.
the one in pennant hills road and beacroft road flashes when the lights are green sometimes...wonder if thats a speed camera
They've recently redone the setup there
yeah there's one in Geelong. i always see poeple getting done. i guess if you have to speed up to get through it then you'd have enough time to slow down aswell.
Every red light camera in Canberra is a speed camera... been that way ever since they introduced them.
Theres actually 7 of them across Geelong so far!
Great idea, if you need to speed up to get through you can slow down. If your not sure, wipe off 5-10k's coming up to it, that way you can speed up 5-10k's going through it if it was to switch. Red light only triggers once you enter the intersection on a red light.

nothing new, sa has had them for a few years.
good idea cos i don't speed through town
Chev badges are an instant fail
Yup Canberra had them ever since red light camera's were around...
Only milk and juice comes in 2 litres.
I have been caught by the friendly Canberra one's to, twice in 3 weeks. I had been driving 4wd for years and only had the VX for a week when I first got caught. I was didn't realize that the Red light camera's could do that. I learnt my lesson quick don't hit the gas when the light turns orange.
yeah south australia has had them for ages and some people still dont learn because just before the lights they brake and slow down go through the intersection and speed and after speed up again
well i think im just going to give up speeding
So I wonder if they'll now have to start signposting red light cameras in the same way as speed cameras? Right now there are a minimum of three large warning signs, a marching band, and a guy in a chicken suit selling coupons before every fixed speed camera. I wonder if those regulations extend to combo red light/speed cameras.
In other news, I believe I read once that this same concept can in theory extend to bus lane cameras.

Nothing new in Victoria. There's a heap more going up right now and they're all dual fixed (speed/red light) cameras. They're being targetted at high accident intersections.
All intersections with the old wet film cameras (some don't even work anymore) are being upgraded to these new digital dual fixed ones.
