Spray Paint For Metal

Hey guys,
i am spraying the insdie of my computer case balck and not sure which kind of paint to use, i was thinking engine enamel because it dries nice and strong.. what do you guys use to spray metal surfaces? do you sand/prime/clear coat at all?

Engine enamel would be fine , and sanding the metal first would help it stick. .... and don't forget to read the can.

Just normal gloss enamel should be fine for the inside,

Engine enamel wont harden properly untill it bakes itself on... I think from memory its like 200deg for 10mins before it cures...

Shouldn't be to much risk of scratching it any way on the inside as the isn't much movement. If your real worried give it 4 or 5 good coats of gloss black with at least 5-10 mins drying time between.

A good heavy rub with a green kitchen scourer should be enough for the paint to take to the zincalume/zincseal case...

Looks great mate, although I have to wonder why you painted it black? Black absorbes and retains heat and that is exactly what you should be trying to avoid unless you are running water cooling, then it wouldn't really matter what colour it is. Just my opinion here, I am not wishing to offend you in any way shape or form
