I'll sell you mine for 100 bucks. It still has all the bars, bar mounts and the bag. I think one of the tabs might be ripped though but other then that it's still in pretty good nick, just covered in dust. If you are really keen I can drag it out and take some pictures of it.

It shouldn't be too hard to hook an alarm up to the tarp. Most car alarms have wires to each of the 4 door switches so a ute should have a couple of spare sensor wires that could be connected to switches that are placed under the tarp. If someone lifts the tarp then the alarm goes off. When the alarm goes off then you should be able to do whatever you want to do to the thieving pricks.

the new tonneus have tonneus lock just a lopp riverted to the tarp with a loop the you rivet to the ute then pad lock it not saying they cant bolt cut it but if someone was going to steal a tarp they wouldnt suspect it having a lock therefore they wouldnt bring cutters

Not too sure.. I will get it out tomorrow (it's at my parents house), clean it up and take some pics. I might as well just give you the bars if you are interested in it. I'll also measure it and do a quote on Aus Posts website. What is your post code? (PM me if you don't want to post it here)

EDIT: I just did a quick calculation an the website. To Melbourne CBD at 20cmX20cmX105cm and 10 kilos is around 20 bucks.. I guess you could work off that and a rough price for post...
