VY dash cluster in a VP V8 Commdore... can it be done?

Hey Guys,
I'm in the middle of a rather loaded project, I've got a 1985 Pontiac Trans AM that I'm changing out the interior for something a little more updated.
I've got a a VY dash with cluster that has been cut to fit into th car, I'm gonna put as much of the interior in as well as seats, centre console etc and I need to get the cluster working.

The car has a 350 chev in it and T700r4 transmission with mechanical speedo.

What I wanted to know is if I can use the sensors/senders from either a VN or VY to get the gauges working (speedo, tacho, fuel, temp) or if its not going to be possible?

it will be way more trouble than it's worth. you'll need VY computer, body control module, electronic speedo etc. VY doesnt have individual inputs into the dash, most go to the computer, and is sent as serial data over CANBUS to dash.
