There really needs to be a graph that shows the relationship in comparison between height of the back of the car related to the front and proudness of having a defect.

Although it would be obvious as to which way things would point.

Dude ive had chopped springs front and back in my berlina for the past 3 years. And the owner before me had it for 1 year and the owner before him who sprayed the car was the one who chopped the springs... That was 5 years ago. Wtf are you talking about going over bumps and springs falling out?????

TBH it handled well when it had 17s and 18s on it. Handles like a boat with the 15s on it.

Firstly a straight through cat still will get the attention of the EPA. And potentially dangerous to other road users or pedestrians, especially in a city like environment.

As for the women thing, i'm sure the women on this forum would disagree. My ex loved cars, two twins i know love my car and like cars. Many other women i know also like cars. I see your argument against the women-car link null and void.

di**s that drive their car like its a pro bloody drifter pisses me off to the max. if you build the car, from the ground (ground being mine) up to a respectful car then your not going to want to go and drive like a di** cause you know the work that goes into it, then again, what about mr. merc with a $100 bill to wipe his a$$ and a SLK that daddy bought

So is this shunning ALL defects or just dangerous ones like the ones mentioned cos most performance mods can be defectable IE full exhaust systems with high flow cats that wont pass EPA sniffer tests and will be louder than 90db or most CAI systems that infringe on EPA laws like all OTRs that either remove the maf altogether or move it from their factory position are considered illegal and Pod filters that arent enclosed in a box are also illegal. ALso lowering your car any lower than 100mm of ground clearence is also defectable which most superlow springs will bring it down under that hight these days. So not condoning the unsafe defects that people choose to do but just stating there are some not so unsafe mods you can do that will still earn you a defect notice so are they still in the same catagory as the "tools" your all talking about??

I remember I was at st kilda beach with some mates talking shit and a highway patrol rocks up and defects some guy for white walls.... As soon as the cop leaves he yells out to his mates "BRO! GOT MY 1ST ****ING DEFECT, COME HAVE A LOOK!" he was pretty happy even though he couldnt drive it and and to be towed :S lol

lmao you would have to piss the cop off pretty bad for a roof lining, but if you got pulled over by TMU i wouldn't be suprised lol

ive come pretty close to a defect.

got pulled over by highway patrol at goulburn and theyre checking out my 19's and the cop thought they were 20's because he couldnt see the tyre size because of the white wall. luckily i convinced him that they were 19's and legal.

hahaha. where have you been hiding?

but on topic, i agree with wat redvess said, i dont think all defects should be shunned. i know alot of people on here have OTR MAFFless tunes for example.. does that make u a tool? no. but being proud of getting a decefct.. wtf?! why would you be proud to have to go through all that crap?!
and i dont think getting defected means you drive a piece of shit. if you want to get picky, on a modified car, if a cop wanted to suss everything out, and be un reasonable, im sure a defect would be easily found. if for the high flow cats, the noise level, the height, the wheels? tint maybe, etc.

im not saying that defects are something to be proud of, but 85% of the people with modified cars (performance & looks wise) could be defectable.. does that make their cars a hunk of spam? i think not.
and yes if ur sensible, you wont get hassled.

in conclusion (LOL) if you have stupid DANGEROUS mods such as big rims with bald tyres, compressed and chopped ultras (LOL again) -10% window tint, and a car so loud id makes car alarms go off, then u are a tool. that is all. or if ur car is slightly modified and ur HARDCORE DRIFTER AND SHEEET, the u are a tool also. and wreak it for the rest of us *cough* p platers *cough*

i cant wait till i get off my p's!!
