Hey guys, ive been watching alot of documentary films and doing alot of reading about Obama and the current administration, it seems that he is just a 'Black "Bush'. From what ive read and seen he is nothing more then a cruel hoax on the world, and I was just curious to know what we as Australians think of Obama and how he will affect us.

Consider for a moment the fact that he is the leader of the UN, not the US Security council (which by the way is illegal, as it violates the US constitution, the president may only serve as the leader of the US and not any independent or foreign bodies) this gives him the right to effectively have say over global policy.

Also our carbon emissions scheme is based on the American 'cap and trade' scheme, which thanks to the recent events of "Climategate" may not go ahead.

My info is simply the news, from tv and the internet. The internet more so as information as easily accesible from reliable sources.

Regardless about what I think of Obama, you need to make sure the sources you are getting your information from are able to substantiate the claims that they make.

If you are referring to the book that the title of this thread is named after, I heavily suggest you read some of the critique that has been written about it. Just because it comes from a best selling book, or is some form of documentary, does not mean it is true. Just look at how much of a crappy documentary Michael Moore is, the same applies here. This is the only way to make sure that these pieces of information have been presented in a factual and objective manner.

Haha I didnt actually know that there was a book. But what I can tell you is that every promise that Obama has made he has broken, and that hes doing some scary shit to the constitution, and its only a matter of time before it comes here

See, here's the problem. I just wrote about fact checking, then straight of the bat you say "he's broken every promise blah blah blah".

You need to provide this thread with the sources you got your information from, otherwise you will just sound like some raving guy who supports American Republicans. For now it just sounds like your opinion as opposed to an informed statement.
