Had a number of cars stolen around my old area, They use to get dumped just up from my house, burnt out, Had someone steal a car from 45km away n purposely drive it into the front of my old house... So beat that...
Speed never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, now that's what gets you...

My ex gf had a VL that was broken into and the ignition barrel wrecked in an attempt to steal it... fortunately the theif didnt succeed because she was moving house and the boot was full of critical personal documents (passport, birth certificate, etc) and treasured belongings.

Btw have tried sending a PM to you scorp but can't - is your name Chris by any chance? PM me and let me know.

had my baby vc stolen twice. the first time they broke the door lock, broke the club lock off the wheel with a pinch bar, and rolled it down the street to try and start it out of ear shot. but the kill switch stopped that, so they dumped it in a drive way, stole my zippo lighter and hightailed. result? new solex locks, remove inside doorlock button..

second time was not so lucky. i had been working on the dash that eveningand had forgotten to reconnect the kill switch. bastards broke the back quarter window, climbed through to the front seat, rolled it down the street and started it there. got involved in a bit of a chase, tried to go around a little round about, couldn't handle her and put her sideways over the biggest gutter in tasmania.
two badly damaged 18's, bent axle, broken chassis where the panhard rod connectsto it, broken tie rod end, 2 bent struts, broken window. recovered same night, limped it home. cops caught one of the little bastards in the act as he couldn't get the drivers door unlocked with out the button, and he gave up the other one pretty quick. they got an 18 month SUSPENDED sentence, i got my baby back completely f'd.
insurance would only pay 500 and take my car, so i decided it would be better to get as much as i could out of itand rebuild another one. hence the vh project. coming along quite nicely now though...

Waiting for the call to go get the burnt out shell if i'm lucky.

Strangest theft happend to my mums vn couple nights ago. woke up to find her car still in the driveway, with door open and bonnet up, i thought that was stange, so i walked over to see what was taken, and they stole the battery haha. nothing else. Why would you want to just steal the battery?

Had someone try and break into my wagon when I parked it out the front of my work about a year ago. It looked like they tried to stick a screwdriver between the door handle and the door panel. Then the alarm went off and they didn't get any further. Was pretty pi**ed off when I saw it.

Number 1 point of entry seems to be that method had it happen to 2 of my old commodores (vs, and vq). definate weak point for the vn to vs and a pain in the but to try and clean up the nice hole in the door they leave! Best bet for that is turn the key to deadlock... But then they still got my VQ caprice. so in conclusion if they want your car they will get it... If your car gets hit be carefull because 90% of the time they will come back for another go when you least expect it!

Thats ****ed bro. Mine was found in bush stripped. Motor/turbo stripped, rims gone the whole dash cluster gone. Only thing left was the gearbox. Id say they were comming back for it as it was sitting next to 2 other burnt out cars.

I was kind of hoping you would have a happy ending but then they're only in fairy tales! Sad to hear! Did you have it insured? Even so it's a true unfair deal when you work hard to get something and someone that does nothing but suck up weed all day on their arse getting handouts form the government then helps themselves to our pride and joy with no regard!

    A. Your shitty rims aren't worth the amount of the house.

    B. If for some retarded reason you did set fire to the house, there could be women or kids in there, good luck living with that on your conscience.

    C. No one on here thinks your tough for trying to get revenge on an asshole act by commiting an even bigger asshole act.

One Of my brothers mates had a Very nice VN commodore, New paint work the lot. Got Stolen, Found a week latter, pushed off a cliff burnt out. No idea how someone could do that.
Only thing thats happened to me is what mother nature did and used cricket sized hail and trashed the VX, $600 excess to get painless dent repair done to it. So not to bad i guess.

had a gemini stolen from me, i know, just a gemini, but i was 18 and this was the first car i ever loved had more horsepower than my 5L commo and weighed a lot less....cost me a lot of time and money, had everything that car, stroked 2.4L, 30 thou over, forgies, superflow prepped head, sweet cam, custom intake manifold, twin 48mm webers, extractors, msd ignition, celica 5spd, vl turbo 3.45 diff, you name it.
found it upside down bunt to a crisp on a dirt road in bargo...and i still owed $3000 on the loan i got to get the webers and diff put in.

My mate had a junky try to break into the boot of his commodore with a screw driving while he was at work at Woolworth's
He came out for a smoke break and saw the guy doing it so my friend went in side to get his friends and when they came out he was gone.
He didn't get into the car but he stuffed the boot lock up
I couldn't believe my friend just walked away to leave the guy finish what he was doing

However i agree with the "an eye for an eye" theory and that if he sees something worth 3000 that he should damage it/pinch it

How the hell do they keep getting suspended sentences anyway? How is that fair to the victim that they can torch a 5k car, the owner gets say 10% back and they enjoy a "suspended sentence"?
If they did that to my car and i saw them out i would smack the sh*t out of them and then demand a suspended sentence from the judge, after all fairs fair.
