Has anyone seen the green SS police cars in vic? and are they just in vic or are they in other states too (thats why I posted in the pub and not the vic section - dunno where else this would go really?)
They've got the full markings and lights and all of that... Just wondering why? Is it because theyre AFM orrr... are they for something specific - kind of like a normal ambulance and then the mica paramedics in the territory (bad example I know...)
Just curious, thats all. Google was no help at all
Hmm.. interesting. I would have liked to read more, or see a couple more pics, but the site didnt work! arr. Thanks for the link though
Explains why I only saw them up sydney rd too
Australian Police Vehicles assortment of pics of police cars from all states there, not sure if there any any of the above, though but I had fun looking at some of them lol.
we got mainly white ones,
but highway patrol are red hsv's or fpv's.
have some blue ones, got a green one, and a yellow one, they are all p.r cars though.
damn hoon police and their 'neon markings'with several TMU vehicles sporting new high-visibility neon markings.![]()
I had to check the date on this thread, i've seen 'coloured' police vehicles over 4 years ago, mostly VZ SSs and XR Falcons.....

TVR-190: That LSD service paid off. Stato just got very sideways.
Grennan: In a stato, the term is held starboard.
They're starting to use more colours than white now, just for something different.
I first noticed a green on one out at Werribee (Wyndham TMU). Then noticed they had a black semi-marked, because it pulled me over one night![]()
there is a green unmarked ss that does the rounds in sth melb area.
INNAWE (in awe)
Noun 1. awe - an overwhelming feeling of wonder or admiration; "he stared over the edge with a feeling of awe"
2. awe - a feeling of profound respect for someone or something; "the fear of God"; "the Chinese reverence for the dead"; "the French treat food with gentle reverence"; "his respect for the law bordered on veneration"
seen a bucket load of unmarked SS's they all the new bright colours, specially when the east link first opened, i saw heaps of green blue purple even.
In the lilydale area we have a blue, red, black and green unmark SSs going about
Old news, at least in ACT... The first Red one they did here they called Big Red. Now theres Red, Blue, Green, Black etc etc. I work at Caltex servo in the CBD and the AFP have starcards, so I see alot of them come through, and the undercovers too, saw a Ford Mondeo the other day, surprised me from the regular commo or ute..
Edit: Heres big red:

Yeah I meant as undercover.. Our TRG just have modfied 4wd's with like 0% tint lol
saw one of the green ones in william st this morning... as well as a few of the day-glo stripey ones too.
At the end of the day its just another cop car.
Are we there yet?
Add orange to that. Saw an orange one at work today haha
NSW used to have different colours for the Snowy Region (white cars tend to blend in with white snow ...)
But now the HWP cars have gone multi coloured, especially from the start of the VE. From what im told its more a high visiblity sort of thing, guys like Mike (OP) go "wow" and start talking about it, then we all start talking about it ... and its only a different coloured car
weve got heaps of different coloured and different makes and models,
when i saw a unmarked and un anntenna'd new diesel pajero booking a fella for speeding one day made me wtf
