MOTORVATE MELBOURNE Public Rally and Car Show together at the Melbourne Show Grounds on Saturday 20th February 2010

It's free to enter your car for display and it's free for the Public to attend.

The ANDRA guys have said that they'll invite the Minister for Sport James Merlino plus others to the event.

Make sure you're part of the show and spread the word..

We are looking for everyone to bring their Drag Racing vehicles, Street Machines, Street rods or any really cool car including Muscle cars, Sports Compact or Cool Cruiser. There should be enough room for about 500 cars and 20,000 spectators. And the big thing is, it's all FREE!





Thanks to Shannnons Car Insurance and all the ANDRA Pro Series Drag Racing Sponsors for helping with this project so it could be FREE for all motor enthusiasts and the public. The Shannons Australian Drag Racing Road show is also part of the 'MOTORVATE MELBOURNE' Public Rally.

Make sure you do your bit and encourage the Government to proceed urgently.

Have a close look at the artist impression and the layout plan. This is more than an ANDRA Drag Racing venue, …. this has got Burnout snake pits, a sprint circuit for Club Cruz'n, Sprints, Drifting, Car Club days, Motorkhana, Driver Training , and heaps more. The best thing is that this place will be open to all Car Lovers and Motor Heads.

Won't happen. Even if it does happen, people will move into houses right next door to it, complain about the noise and it'll get shut down just like every other race track.

You are right,i doubt the residents would aprove of something like this in the area.
It would be great if it happened though.

Melbourne can never have stuff like this. Because the entire city is a failed design, it's just too big and spread out, you put a track in the bush out one side then it's tooooooo far for the whingers out the other side who have never crossed the city let alone got out of the place :P not to mention there's houses everywhere in all directions for 100 kms, as soon as you get cars 1000hp and over they make ALOT of noise

I'm not negative about everything, i just know how things work....It happens all the time, people move right next door to something thats clearly going to create noise and then have the audacity to complain about it. Both Calder Park & Sandown come to mind...

Spa is one of the best track in the world and it's also under serious threat due to whinging people that moved into houses next to the track. I mean if you move into a house next to one of the most famous race tracks even been made, you expect noise right?
