    Default Exhaust prices

Howdy Starting to get prices on stuff for my car,

I got a price yesterday for Extractors and an Exhaust, Got quoted on

1 1/4 Pacemaker or Advanced extractors, into a twin stainless steel system, dumped by the back wheels on both sides, With a hot dog just before it dumps, with NO cat or anything, Quoted $1400 Installed

Any ideas on if thats a good price or not,

Spoke to my mate who runs the exhaust shop, he said he'd get me a price on Thursday, said will probably easily beat that price if you like.

Yeah do it, just don't be surprised when the boys in blue pull you over and slap a defect on you for excessive noise and illegal exhaust (for having no cats). Or an EPA officer (or whatever you guys have up there) decide you dob you in.

Other than that, go for it It will sound hectic.

If it's just a burnout car then, why bother with stainless steel? Go mild steel if the car will only be used on a skid pan etc.....

I got done on my Senator, a few people i know (Nanos for example) has been done as well. Cop just needs to hand your plate number to the EPA and they send you a letter (here in Vic) and you have to get your exhaust noise tested, the legal limit being 90dB.

Depends what cylinder your car is, they rev it to a certain percentage of something, not exactly sure. They have a little microphone on a stand they place behind your exhaust tip which has a digital gauge connected, then on my car (5 litre Vs Senator) they revved it to 3400RPM 3 times.

I put a V6 exhaust on it with both the mufflers, and it only passed by like .4 of a decibel.

I've already got extractors on the car we have found out lol, got a price on exhaust with one hot dog either side dumped by the back wheels for $390 fitted is that a good price

Oh Morphett Vale exhausts wanted to charge me $1100 for pacemaker extractors fitted, and $850 for a twin mild steel exhaust that dumps at the back wheels with a hot dog either side
