    Default What should I do?

Well, I want a V8 (I live in W.A so there is no law saying I can't drive a V8). Anyway, I'm not sure what I should do. I want something that looks nice and goes good. I was thinking about getting an early 308 commo and putting a bit of work into her, Or buying a VS or VR SS or 5 litre. Problem is, If I go for a SS then I will need to get a loan to get the SS and I'm not to keen on that. With the early girl, I will be building it up over the year. The V8 is more for a bit of fun (legal of course) and something to cruise around with on the weekend. I dont really want a V8 daily driver. What do people think I should do?

I personally wouldn't recommend getting a V8 for your first car (i'm assuming it is). There's more than a good chance you'll end up crashing it and i just don't see the point in getting a really nice car for your first...
Other than that, if your going to get a V8 don't waste money on an SS. I honestly can't understand why people go on about them, there a freakin executive but cost twice as much because they have a few tiny differences and some badging. I'd much rather a stato or calais for around the same money.
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.

I have a VS v6 now Yeah, Well they are about the same as the V8 execs over here. If I buy a old girl it will not be my daily, So I will have a V8 for weekends and times when I want to have a bit of fun, But all the other times Il just drive the VS

I'd say by an early Commodore and put a V8 in it. Carby 308's are easy to work on and transplant in to the older models.

I've always thought that too...when I buy my V8, I'm goin GTS not SS. But I must admit, the VE SS has a very distinctive difference than the VE V6's, potentially worth the price difference
