Hi guys,
I am not far from finishing my apprenticeship in Boilermaker (Fitter/Welder), and I'm thinking when I am to go abroad and drive tractors (hay and silage, cultivating etc.) I have plenty of experience growing up on a farm here in NZ.
I'm actually just curious as to how many of those types of job are around over there?
Cheers
i work on a farm and the people that come do our hay and ect are always looking for new workers and i always hear of them jobs and can garentee theres quite a few of them around
I love driving my tractor around my property. plan on buying a bigger property and tractor later in life
I dunno what the hay season has been like, but in Western Vic we have just been swamped with header/truck drivers looking for work after yet another shit year up north, so they have followed the harvest down here only to find its not much better

yeah our season over here has been pretty slow. pretty much all the silage is already done. People are waiting on the rain (if it comes) to get second cuts now.
Most of the famers here (west vic) are New Zealanders now anyway so at least you will be able to understand their wonky English (I struggle)![]()
haha excellent, was hoping to not fork out for a translater, for your backwards england hehe
harvest is still going in victoria at least. ring the VFF and offer your services, they may be able to put you in touch with someone.
