Full License........What is The Test? (NSW)

Hey all,

Just wondering what you actually have to do to get your full license? Is it a driving test like for your red P's?

Keeping in mind I did mine 3-4 years ago now - Things may have changed, but it was a knowledge and re-action test (like green P's).... No actual driving required

I done mine just before christmas, all u do is a knowledge test like for your L's but it is more on accident, and statistics, you got to get the book to know some of it and you also do a hazard test like to get your green p's but you sometimes have to touch the screen more than once in this one.

my wife did it a few weeks ago, its the multi guess questions and then the hazard perception test thingy.

even though my wife is now, considered old, the first questions were, at what speed is it best to be in in these situations, etc, so its not just the road rules, you have to read the book, which she refuses to do. shes been able to do her open licence test for 6 months now mind you, sigh, i much liked it 15 odd years ago when i did mine, 12 months or red p's at 80kph, and heres your opens..

i rorted the system by changing states so the only test i had to do was my l's and red p's test, bout 6 yrs ago now

when I got my licence, it was a theory multiple choice for L's, a practical for P's one year later, and then only a year after that I automatically got my silvers.

im glad they've tightened things up (especially since I didnt have to do it) .

It's pretty much the same as the green-P test, just a little harder. Same format IIRC.

when i did my ls the test was actually on paper... no computers
