Hey guys,
Long story short
Mate got defected to regency last nite, for gagues, horn, steering wheel too small, and racing seats..
So my question is :
Hes got a 7 day period that he can still drive the car, but his rego ran out today.. He still needs it for work, so how can he still drive it ?
No he can't.
If the car rego has run out it's illegal to drive it on the roads.
Sorry mate.
Thats what i thought, are you cant rego a defected car either ?
He can't. case closed.
Get a roadworthy and pay the rego.
Maybe he should have thought about that before fitting parts to the car that he would have known would create issues with the local boys in blue
As stated car unregistered ,cant drive it without risking largish fines !
Sucks to live in SA, defect capital of Australia. me thinks that most of the defect threads on JC originate form SA.
nope sorry about ur car buddy, i mean your mates car
That could either be because we have the toughest rules on car mods or the most ignorant people that do modifications they know are illegal but don't care. Me thinks it's a bit of both but as far as I'm concerned if you know it's illegal and you still go ahead and do it then take your medicine and stop bitching about it. (not aimed at anyone personally)
lol at the recent posts..
How much is it to go through Regency ?

Chev badges are an instant fail
why didnt he pay rego earlier on? as most people pay it a few days before its due (if they cant get to the bank etc.. on the due date, or being a weekend)
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
