    Default autobarn lawnton

if you are considering going to work for this franchise or you are looking to do work experience, read on......

essentially, i was doing work experience at autobarn lawnton back in 08, and i thought everything was going ok, blah blah blah, anyway, i was working with this guy called brenton, and this guy would not shut up, telling me stories i couldnt give too shits about, then he suddenly starts abusing me, i asked him a simple question in order to help a customer (pretty standard question like "wanting to find out if there is an appointment for an install booked in from memory, pretty standard i would have thought), he said "baa". Thats all he could say. How did someone like him get a job in the first place? I would like to know what his secret is, the guy was a certifiable weirdo to say the least.

the second thing, the boss calls me into his office after he saw that I had a major panic attack, and he refuses to cut my work experience off, even though I explained my situation. ( fell on deaf ears obviously). I told him that I felt it was no longer helpful to my situation to continue the work experience because I had a major setback in my anxiety because of this company. I am presently looking for work (not in this industry) but I am still a keen enthusiast.

I just wanted to vent because it has been eating me up inside. I didnt write it to cause offense, just to open peoples eyes and to make a RESPONISBLE AND WISE decision before attempting to get work with these people.

In my experience that is people in general. You're not going to get on with everyone and yes there are some dodgy sorts out there. The best thing you can do is to not make their problem your problem. Are you on any medication for your anxiety? I can recommend some herbal stuff if you're interested. And yes it's legal.

Dude unless you harden up fast you are not going to get far in this world. Brenton sounds like a fun guy to work with, always got a story to tell and lighten up an otherwise dull job. Be interesting to hear Autobarn's impression of you

You've had a bad experience. Trust me when i say it'll be the first of many that you'll have in your working life so best to put it aside and move on. After all, it happened a while ago now.

Hahaha, Firstly its back from 08 <--- haha. Secondly, you could not handle it now you're telling people not to work for them? You should try working for my step father... there are people worst then the one you've described, deal with it.

Work experience man , if you dont like it, its really simple. Steal shit lots of shit, its auto barn for christ sake you could get your hands on some really good gear very easily. Geting worked up about some thing isnt going to help you at all. I really hated the school i was in for year 11 and 12, so instead of cutting my wrists and becoming an emo, I did up my commodore in Automtive and stole alot of school property. More than half my tool box is school property including a $350 torque wrench. worked for me.

Bet you feel like a big man. ......... i am trying to think what they call people like that......... I think Douche Bag sounds about right.

As per the OP. I have always hated going to Autobarn, Repco and Supercrap at lawton for anything automotive. Go to Bursons or Garmaxx at brendale. It's always more then 50% the price.

if someone steals from the store i work for, thats like stealing from my wages. if everyone stole something, there'd be nothing to sell, and with nothing to sell, that means no money to pay my wages.

most autobarn stores are franchises and are owned by individual people, not one big company. they pay money each year to use the autobarn name.

I fail to see how you can justify that stealing from someone who has worked hard to build a large company is ok? Stealing is stealing no matter who from.

You seriously are an idiot and no longer welcome at this forum.

Let this be a lesson for anyone else who condones theft.

First you admit you keyed someones car for a sticker they had on the back, now you are telling people to steal? You're doing really well on this forum.
