    Default Vinyl Stickers

As this forum doesn't have a sign writer or sticker maker as a sponsor, we have just purchased a vinyl cutter and can do stickers in text or graphics.

So if anyone wants something done, we can do it at a super cheap rate. You can either send me a graphic and text or I can do something up.

We have limited colours at the moment, but we can expand on that as funds permit. Current colours are black, white, red, blue, green and purple. I will have another look at home to see what else we have. I also found a fluro orange.

If this takes off, this thread may be able to be made into a sticky (pardon the pun) and all requests posted up.

Here is one I did for my bike yesterday.

It isn't one of those Klik-and-kut systems is it? If so i pity you, the accompanying software is woefully inadequate. I had one at my last job and did up a few to take home, they go pretty well on the VN.

I wholeheartedly endorse this product and/or business.

It's a Creation cutter. I have vector software and the software for cutting that came with the cutter. Seems to work OK.

I bought one of those Creation cutters.....it didn't work tho, the guy sent me a new main board to chuck in it as he said it may have been damaged getting here. But that didn't work either, so sent it back. Lost out $100 just in postage but ya get that. Didn't bother getting another unit sent out coz didn't wanna run the risk of that not working either.

But a mate uses one of those machines and his is going ok.

How long is a piece of string?

I would say 3-5 years, it's not the thicker 2mm vinyl.

It's nothing to do with the thickness, it's how long the adhesive lasts.

It will either be a mono calendared, poly calendared or cast vinyl.

I will have to have a look at the rolls when I get home and see if there is anything on them. The little bit of research I did to find the answer the first time only mentioned the vinyl thickness.

i think from memory it's only if there is a small TM in a circle you can't use it.

There are a lot of copy stuffs out there, and only the originals has the TM mark and can't be copied.

Same thing as printing pictures off the net taken by someone else, unless you get their permission, you can't do it, that's why alot of pictures have some kind of lock on them to not allow you to print them off....just like alot of the professional photographers that take piccies of the drags and burnouts and stuff like that.

The Holden logo is one of those logos that is so widely used there is no real copywrite issue with it unless you use it in a way to claim it as your own. EG as part of your own logo. There are no issues in reproducing it on a sticker and putting it on your car.

Thank you baby. Another answer from my beautiful and smart partner.

Regardless of if the sticker or tee of something like that DOES breech copyright. Nothing will happen. Sif they will try n lay charges against you? It would be retarded. Who cares? Just get it.

I know this. Unless people use a logo like this in their own artwork without permission, just reproducing it and sticking it on a car isn't a problem, especially when the car is a Holden anyway.

what sort of file types do you accept? i've got a bunch of vector stuff, looking at that rose, you can do multi colour cutouts (like a sticker with black and red parts?)
