Top Notch Commodores wanted for charity Day in Newcastle
I am organising a charity day for bike riders in March.... the "Bikers for SIDS and Kids" trek will be run in conjunction with the 4WD trek for SIDS and Kids... and will ultimately end up at the foreshore Park in Newcastle.
The event will be on the 28th of March....
What do i need??
anywhere from a dozen up to i guess 20 top notch Commodores to put on show for the people there..... i don't want any clunkers..... there are numerous amounts of them parked along the foreshore
Seeing some of the cars on here, i am sure there would be enough of you guys from around here... and even from Sydney that want to bring their pride and joy up for the day to show it off. I will even provide a trophy for a shown shine winner which i will get judged by the bike riders.
Please help out a very worthy charity... SIDS and Kids Hunter Region do a fantastic job with bereavement counselling and support services for people who have lost children to SIDS, still births, and any other childhood related death. They are tireless workers, and need our support.

I wouldn't consider mine "top notch" but I would be up for it though because it is a great cause! Have a look at my car (link in my signature) and let me know if you want it there. No offence will be taken if you don't!

I have a"clunker" but I will come have a look and put the word out if I seen anything worth showing off a mate has a VE SSV ute it stock apart from super sport rims and hard top but still a nice ride let me know what you think he would be keen he has two kids and any mother or father would support such a cause keep up the good work

Currently the details are, the trek itself should be at the park around 10:45am. There will be people there setting up from 8am on the 28th of March. Before then i will go down there and work out where to park the display vehicles. There is plenty of room at the park so i am sure we can find somewhere to park you guys up.
I will post more details as they come to hand.

we could do a JCCCNSW cruise up there to help out, but ultimately you'd have to take what comes up.
While we have some "show worthy" cars like Kezas Supercharged VZ Senator Wagon, Dans tidy VS, and occasionally Andy's SV6 Wagon, all cars that make you go "wow" ... we also have your daily drivers like my Acclaim, Andrews Calais, Haydens VS Stato, Troys VP, Pauls SV6 and Mischas VN.
Their all enthusiests cars, nice wheels, look pretty in pictures and will suit the day.
Anyway you can pop down to the JCCCNSW sub section of the forum and find endless photos from our various cruises to decide if we fit the bill or not, if you need some numbers for a great cause I'm sure we can help out and we'll make a donation per car as well.

Hi Tony, i would love to come to this event if i can get time off work, as it is for a very worthy cause, and i also only live 15mins from Newcastle foreshore. If you think my car will be suitable i would love to have it there, ( white VE SV6 with Black track stripes and 20inch rims, everything else is stock ). pm me if you want it there or pm me your number and i will txt pics to you.

like i said mate, if it's shiny and worth showing off it's ok. As i said though, i need to sort the date out...... it's becoming a chore getting it sorted out.
Ultimately, the trek may be set up to involve all who want to join in... not just bikes and 4WDs. When i get home from the gym today, i will post the full story behind the trek.

It's looking like it may have to be postponed due to some unforeseen hassles with organising a date. I will know for sure on Friday after i go down to newwie for a meeting with them.
failing that, maybe we could organise a meetup and make a "per vehicle" donation to the cause... i can then drive my Commodore down

we should organise a Just Commodores event.... kinda low key, but with fund raising in mind.... maybe raffle a few things off.whatever you organise, whatever date, whatever venue is fine with us, just let us know a time, date and whats happening and we'll be there.

Car idiot
After almost a year of my car being off the road it looks like it will be ready near the end of March, if this is the case I would be happy to do the drive up from Sydney

great cause. i'll be due a cruise up the F3 around then so when date's confirmed, would love to take a road trip up and support the cause.
