    Question Radio aerials?

Hi all, the radiao aerial on my VS is broken and in need of replacement. The question I have is as follows; Which is better, electric or manual aerial? or are they much the same these days?
I ask because years ago, electric aerials were not great when it came to reception where as the manual aerials were really good.

    Thanks in advance

I went from electric to manual in my Berlina because the cord that retracts/extents the aerial was broken (somehow). I noticed no change in reception strength at all.

i was installing TV aerials into houses in 1995-96 which work on the same principle as radio antennas.... as far as i know ohms law of resistance hasnt changed since then.

there is only one difference. electric goes up when you turn the radio on, and down when its off. and manual stays down till you pull it up.
