Default New Speed Cameras SE QLD

Just wondering if anyone knows about the new speed cameras that are going into operation soon around South East QLD..

Far as i know they're still in testing.. The new Digital cameras which use infrared (no flash) have been put up at nudgee on the gateway (southbound before nudgee beach rd) and on the Bruce Hwy northbound (just before the landsbrough turn off)

I've been told they're in testing till mid year, anyone can confirm this? Also i've heard that new laws state that speed cameras don't have to display sign-age.. Still can anybody confirm this?

Once again these are new digital zero tolerance cameras which i can't explain why the nudge cameras is only 500m from a 10km drop from 100km/h to 90km/h my car doesn't even de-accelerate that fast. Just another revenue raising tool to get the bligh government out of a deep deep financial hole... Still i don't see that pothole fixed outside my house...

Your car cant drop 10 km/hr in 500 metres? Get the ****ing thing off the road then.

All true, as well as current Red Light cameras will be converted to detect speeding as well.

Beaudestert Rd at Calanvale is installed, or under test. My mate advised me the other day hey saw a flash go off there, so not sure about this infa-red stuff.

500 metres at 100km/h, you would have travelled for 18 seconds before you reach the camera. im quite sure your car would be below 90km/h if you didnt have your foot on the accelerator. its not that hard to slow down

Bligh is a tool - yes
State government is completely stuffed and have rooted the state - yes
Coasting, car will drop 10km/hr in 500 m - yes.

Sorry man but you need to re-check your driving ways.

And potholes are brisbane city council's responsibility. Thats why we pay council rates.

Our potholes are fixed by BBC as soon as they appear, and we live 25km from the CBD!!

    1. Get your brakes checked, or your foot.

    2. The cameras will have a small leeway on them, they will not book you for doing 101km/h in a 100km/h zone, stop listening to ACA, TT, and stop reading the courier mail if you can't see through the bullshit.

    3. Any potholes would be fixed by your council, which is the Moreton Bay Regional Shire. Send them an email, phone call, or letter, likely they don't even know its there.
