First concert - what band?

do you remember your first concert? was it as good as you expected? anything memorable happened?

this will give away my age, but my first concert was KISS in 1980. it was memorable alright for mostly good reasons, as they put on one hellova act....

the only bad thing was there was so much 'herbal jazz cigarettes' being smoked, that i cant remember breathing air for about 3 hours.

i was seeing 4 of everything by the end of it in technicolour special effects. (that last bit was a lie...)

Slipknot in brisbane, the crowd broke the barrier and we had to sit down for like 30 mins and wait for it to be repaired. i thought it was awesome, then i saw megadeth.

First Concert was "Live" on their mid 1990's tour, for secret samadhi album if I remember correctly

Best concert - There has been a few. There isn't one that stands out as THE best but some honourable mentions are Lamb of God / Devildriver a few months back, Nightwish, Disturbed and local Sydney lads Lord and Daysend (which are playing together on tomorrow night at the Gaelic club in Sydney if anyone is interested)

1st was metallica at bdo 1999 it was good cus of a lightning storm just behind the stage was awsome with the light show and everyone was going nuts but the best would have to be slipknot at the horton 2005 a little know concert while thay where here playing bdo not many people there but it was insane to say the least

Actually I agree with you there, got free tix to it, wasnt expecting much and they were awesome! Considering it was only 3 original members and jonathon davis was stopping for oxygen between songs haha

First major concert: Grinspoon 2004? (I don't really like them though)
Second major concert: Placebo 2006 (only cause the were really the only kind of big decent thing to come around)
Third concert (and the first concert I really wanted to go to): Nine Inch Nails (2009). I had to see them at least once before they stopped touring.

First festival: Soundfest (not Stonefest) at the University of Canberra (2007).

Other than that, I've been to a handful of local shows. Kinda bummed I never went to a metal for the brain.

Man your so lucky to see blink that long ago! Amazing how many small venues they played back in those days. You would have seen them in 1995 because they didnt tour here in 1996. Heres the 1995 tour dates if you happen to be interested:
