Cant believe the last track day was only 2 weeks ago ...
and the concrete slabs at the back of the pit lane complex is a bit disheartening for me because one of the best days of my life started with our cars parked there 12 months earlier for our Just Commodores track day.

Such a shame, it looks so sad now![]()
This is all so totally wrong. It's hard to even look at those photos, add to that the relative proximity i've been to the track my whole life. I still remember heading out there in August 1998, me only 10 years old, to witness the end of an era I barely knew: Peter Brock competing in his last championship round before retiring from V8's. And 10 years later in december 2008, seeing Mark Skaife doing his last laps before also retiring from V8's, and fittingly also the last time v8 Supercars were to race there. A couple of months later, I, just like Matt, also had one of the best experiences in my life by getting to drive there. I'm so grateful for getting to do so before Oran Park was gone forever, and these memories will stay with me.
Alas, to have something so steeped in racing history just be torn up to make way for dollar-driven developers to have their way with the place, sickens me deeply.

What a waste.![]()
Lot of history on that track, but I hope they are replacing it with a more modern and better one
Yep, demolish the tracks, then sook and "crack down" on burnouts on the street and "hoon" behaviour. God i love this country![]()
