Does anyone know how to set up delivery for an item when its in another state.
For example i want to buy some side skirts for my vy, the guy said yes posting to SA is fine but you have to set it up, how would you go about doing that kind of thing, has anyone done it before.
Thanks
When I got a motor from another state, I asked a mate about it who is the boss here at Kope, and he let me use his account number, and I just fix him up for the freight. So I gave the seller the account number, then all he has to do is drop it off and give them the account number and all is good.
Same as when a guy bought one of my motors, he gave me an account number, which I wrote down on the form when I dropped it off.
Not sure how much it costs to setup an account tho....might be worth looking into perhaps?

You try to ascertain the rough dimensions of the packaged item and weight and the sellers location, armed with this information you call courier companies and get quotes. Once you win the item you call up your chosen courier company with the details and they will pick it up but you will have to pay upfront the delivery charged to the couirier company and if item is bigger than estimated you may be due to pay more on arrival.
thanks ppljulie on that i assume id have to call the courier company in that state or could i call one here if they are based interstate as well
what state are u in... i called some freight companies in perth here and found one who was cheap and had a SA subcontractor.. in fact he had one in most states. Alls i did was pay on pickup... got my whole climate control setup from SA to perth in 3 days on a truck for 110 dollars.
All they asked for was basic dimensions... wasnt That big.. and if 1 man could lift the box up (im guessin so forklift wasnt required.) and they did the rest. the person in Sa just had to drop off at a depot in SA but they coulda got me a courier if required.
