I saw a black one on the M1 at the Gold Coast start of this year. I think the guy got weirded out that i was perving on his car so he started driving a bit faster but i wasn't go to let him get away, then i turned to do shoulder check, heard this sweet ass roar and when i looked back i saw him way up in the distance and i new i had no cance catching back up..... so i cried...hahaha![]()
There is one that lives around Glen Iris here in Vic. Two streets from my mates house. They are fugly looking cars. I saw it once and was sorely dissapointed. Looks like a Senator from the rear with a different badge, and one of those god awful aborted looking series 2 VE HSV's from the front. The power in stock form is pretty good, but for the cash you pay for one, you may as well buy an SS and spend $50,000 and you could probably get MORE power than one of these produces. I guess they are priced that way for the future "rarity" factor.
Personally, i think it's silly spending that kind of cash on something so ugly just because there was only a few made. Each to their own though i guess.

Can't say they impress me much, rather ugly imho.

W427's are just a farkin rip off for a low tech hunk of shit.
There is one on carsales - $168,250 drive away:
2008 HSV W427 E Series MY09 Cars For Sale in WA - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au
If you appreciate quality and engineering, you can get a 2009 Merc C63 W204 AMG second hand for $160,000 drive away:
2009 MERCEDES C63 AMG W204 Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au
Or you can get a 2008 Merc CLS63 AMG for $167,000 drive away:
2008 MERCEDES CLS63 AMG C219 MY08 Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au - carsales.com.au
You can also get a V8 BMW M3 for similar money.
If I was considering spending that sort of cash on a car, a shithouse Holden would be at the very bottom of my list.
Master, even better you can get an R35 GTR for under 150
I would take that over w427 or what you have linked.

i like them for their rarity, the soon to be released blue meanie custom would be better for less money, the hdt ve ss, with a 7L supercharged engine, for 120G, oh yeahhhhhhh![]()
I would never buy one but i thik that they are still a nice car..
for $160,000 i would be buying this... 2007 PORSCHE 911 GT3 997 MY07 Private Cars For Sale in WA - carsales.com.au
o r this and spend the left over 20g's on it http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=126D65EF669B

man if i had 160k i would be all over that GT3.
oh p.s. good luck finding a GTR35 for 150k they retail at 170, might get one 2nd hand. and us lowly importers can only bring in brand new models from japan cos' nissan beat us through the testing process (not by much) which means the imported ones are more expensive again (although we get the V-spec version which is not delivered here)
For future value I would take the 427, but out of the given options I would probably take the GTR as a 'better car'. If I wanted to get a Holden I would get a Walkinshaw Clubby.
**** yeah!! Merc's or R35's FTW!!

agreed, thats what they were designed to do, but they look nothing as good as porsche's in my opionion.
but as always said, each to their own.
p.s. just did a little red book search: GTR R35 power=357kw torque=588Nm
Porsche GT2 power=390kw torque=680Nm
Give me a ZR1 over any skyline shit!
The W427 is a great car considering it's size. The price tag reflects its rarity. It's like all those people buying 68 mustangs, my VE would blow them to the shit, whilst being heaps more comfy, but its not about that is it.
