More Car-based riots in Melbourne

For all people living in Melbourne that are into cars - The scene is now dead and buried.

A number of f@#kwits that saw someone on facebook post a link to a meet on princes highway tonight took it upon themselves to destroy a bob jane t-marts on the corner of princes highway and warrigul road. Apparently in retaliation for the cancellation of Easternats.

A section of princes highway was blocked off with Highway patrol because of this.

At the store, the Bob Jane vahicles had been rolled onto their rooves and the store had all the windows smashed in. From what we could see some of the stock had been stolen as well.

To everyone involved, I say that anyone who is genuinly into cars despises you. You've now slammed what i believe to be the final nail in the coffin of car enthusiasts in this state.

Yeh, i only went to Easternats once, and to be quiet honest i think it was shit. Nowadays, i'm happy to just go to static car shows, because you don't tend to get the typical Chapel wankers "ripping it up" when they leave the show like what happens at Easternats and such....All these idiots achieve is a stronger police presence at car shows that canary every car as it leaves the event, wrong doing or no wrong doing, which sucks for the people doing the right thing.

Although i don't really support the Easternats, i think thats a bit rough, atleast the people there are doing the right thing....unless ofcoarse they take it to the streets after leaving the event. Not everyone that goes to car events is a "hoon" most people go to these events to have a bit of fun in there car in a controlled environment (read: racetrack). There is a difference.

Every few months in Shepparton the GV car club has an event at the DECA complex. $60 to take part in 4-5hrs or driving event. Motorkhana - Burnouts and drags.

Any thing and everything participates. Its good fun and everyone goes home safe afterwards. Police have a quick squiz and are then on their way as most people are behaved. The scene is still alive, just have to be responsible.
