gday, just have a few questions regarding registration. i have moved to victor harbor, and have a car in victoria.
problem is, it isnt registered, and im not real sure what im doing. i went into a service centre and they said i have to get it to regency. now im not real sure weather a vicroads permit will let me get there, or if i need a sa permit too.
also, would a roadworthy certificate in victoria work with the paperwork in sa? would i have any hassles getting third party insurance on an unregistered car?
any info would be greatly appreciated.
A Victorian permit allows you to drive interstate but you have to tell them that when applying and it will be stated as a condition on the permit. The permit is a third party insurance policy, but only covers personal injury not property. Even with a Victorian RWC, you will still need to get it inspected and passed in SA. All this info was found on the VicRoads and Transporty SA websites....
ok mate, i appreciate it. i know that occasionally imformation isnt all that easy to understand i just thought that it would be easier for me to understand come from someone else.
