first post in a while/new car/goin for p's

hey guys. havnt logged in for a while so here we go.
last post i think i talked about getting a car. well i picked up a 2000 VTII acclaim about a month ago for$6500, just ticked over 170 000 kms. decent buy i recon considering its in amazing mechanical condition. its that metallic dark green colour and came with calias rims which im happy about(i will post some pics when its clean lol). my uncle(being a huge holden enthusist) gave me a cd stacker and a few little hsv extras too that he used to have when he had his brand new vt years ago. me and my uncle and stepdad gave the interior a nice detail and its come up looking fantastic. just gotta do the outside now. as soon as i saw the car i fell in love with it and knew it was the car for me. i've enjoyed drivin it on my l's bbut am really excited to drive solo. i go for my p's next tuesday and im pretty nervous. i've had plenty of lessons and the instructor thinks i will be fine but i cant help but be nervous. ill let you'se know how it all goes.

Good luck with the P's- keep an eye on your speedo during the test if you go over the limit it's an instant fail. Test is really easy so dont stress!!

Make sure you CONSTANTLY look in all your mirrors... and make it noticable. I failed my test for not looking in my mirrors enough... someone said you supposed to look in all your mirrors every light post :P (cant remember if it was my instructor or the tester dude)

i got my p's not long ago, definitely agree on checking the mirrors very often and make it noticeable! and watch your speed very carefully, i nearly failed at the end of my test because of that.
and the testers will say things for e.g at an intersection, turn right into the right lane, but then take the next left, so you gotta quickly change lanes, pain in the butt! lol be ready for it. asides from that, easy as pie good luck mate!

talk to the instructor.. best way to distract him so he misses your mistakes. I forgot to put my blinker on twice and he only said i did once..

Nah seriously good luck, Just keep a cool head, check your mirrors HEAPS and you'll be fine, remember your head checks too.

Please don't turn into a wanker red P plater like most of the others...
