what would go harder a v8 calais or a v8 ss and why?

and ive got 8k to spend on a car i was thinking of a vnss what do you guys think?

and what was the best ss drom vn to vs

Why only a vn with that sort of money you should be able to pick yourself up a nice vs ss? I'd say the ss goes harder but only because I've never had a calais only ss models

id imagine the ss would go harder because the calais is heavier

I have a mate who has for sale a VR, 5lt, Calais interior, a nice custom paint job.
His father has a VN grpA original for sale also.
So it just comes down to which model you really like, and can afford.
But myself, I'd say go with the latest year model you could afford, so it has the least amount of K's and wear and tear on it.

I believe power & speed take second place to reliability and safety, but that's just my opinion.

Calais is kinda like a luxury/sports, where as an SS is more like a sports/performance, if that makes sense?

yes, u can get a clubsport that are 185 insted of the 165kw but for a clubsport u could get an vt ls1 with 220kw

Actually, a VN SS(if genuine) at only 177,000k's for $8k isn't bad.
My VS is sittin at just over 262,000k's

Yeah engines are basically the same, but I think SS may have a 'few' little sports extras for engine, suspension, body kit and such.
I'm not sure on exactly what they are though for each model.
Just do a bit of a search online, might be able to find some info on them.

scrap the vn ss unless its granpa spec. To stop the Km;s on those things is to easy not to do. I would go with the newest thing you could buy. e.g VT SS
