should plan a cruise to some of these places lol
i reckon all of adelaide is haunted![]()
place called the meatworks in old noarlunga isnt really haunted but u get chased by bikies/squatters and junkies...pretty scary shit..my mates got chased by a guy with an axe
Apparently the old abattoirs up at Gepps Cross are/were pretty ****ing creepy at night, pity its where the new shopping centre is. Don't know if there is any of the old buildings/land left.
Digging up a dead thread.
I have been to the Schneiders valley one. We actually go there all the time, through the fence, through the quarry and into the far valley because there is a massive pond to go fishing for redfin and swimming and stuff.
In terms of it being haunted, the place is pretty creepy, old buildings, sheds, ruins, that kinda stuff.
Definetly would not want to go at night. If you want to go there you have to find MICHAEL PERRY RESERVE, its the actual name of the park and forest. Easy to find once your in and just follow the path down past the small pond, in autumn there is so many dead leaves and stuff around.
yeah my girlfriends brother goes there during the day with his mates. seen a video of them crossing a river on a tree that had fallen over the river??
he reckons its not scary, but he said he hasnt jumped the fence and gone near the house?

i'm now used to it
oh i forgot to say,
i hide all knives at night just in case
no takers ??
i guess you don't believe
im keen as beens to go for a cruise to a bunch of these places. its been a long time since i last did.
a few places i went to were kupunda cemetary (freakiest), Julia Farr (strange shit in there, but not too bad) and Adelaide Gaol (mild)
i have a few stories, i'll save the best for last.
the adelaide gaol was on one of them ghost tours. was pretty good, nothing really happened. but we got to see some pics and vids of stuff they seen (that was cool.)
then one of the ppl on the tour with us took a photo of the hanging tower and showed us on the camera at the end of the tour. it had some weird orb looking thing that we didnt see when we were there... but that could of been anything.
Julia Farr centre was a good night out. me and 3 mates all went to there at around 10pm one night, only to find another 10-15 teens doing the exact same thing. we decided to all go in as one (be safe against the creepos) we got in through a gap in the fence and wandered around. there was graffiti everywhere and very f**ked up ravings on sinks etc, (such as 'im 22yr old asian who loved aussie c**k and doing all sorts of things to boys in this place. come here at 2am on tuesdays for a good night.. etc etc) strange.
the teens that we met were loud and stupid, breaking shit etc and by then me and my mates knew that the security will come soon. as i thought that, we looked to the left outside the garden sort of area, we saw a flashlight coming towards us. we told everyone to be quiet and turn our torches off. as we did we saw the flash light coming closer and legged it. i tell you now its friggin annoying trying to find an exit to a building you've never been in before. we finally found a ledge that was low enough to jump off and then run towards the fence. as we got to the fence we noticed we were at a different part to where we came in and had to jump it. my mate dropped his beer as he jumped the barbed wire an fell ass up (hilarious). as we got over there was multiple security and dogs and the most idiotic thing was one of the other group members were with us and tried to convince us to run back and start bashing the dog. (dangerous and cruel were my thoughts) so we kept running and eventually got back to my car.
Last and best was kupunda cemetary. Note that it is not the one just down the road from the town centre, its on a dirt path...
me, my gf at the time, my brother and another girl all went up there for a thrill. finally got to the entrance and saw a bright light just over the hill of the first part of the site. the female friend told us a story about the graveyard and tried to give us the spooks, but me and my brother walked ahead to the big statue ahead of us. as we got nearer my now ex started feeling cold and all of a sudden, screamed and jumped onto my brother, who in turn jumped on me... at that point me and my brother looked at eachother briefly and both thought "everyone for themselves and bolted back to the car". when i asked why she jumped she swore that someone grabbed her on the shoulder but no one was there.
it freaked us out but im still a little bit skeptical whether it was just a cry for attention or not.
that being said, i would still love to go for a wander to some places![]()

Speaking as a full blown cynic I tend to think people feel and see what they want to. Even if not consciously at least subconsciously. I have friends who claim to have seen things of get “feelings” when they walk into certain place. If someone confirms something bad happened there then that’s it! They felt it. Chances are something bad happened pretty well everywhere at some stage.
I see it like this. Seemingly unexplainable events can be explained two ways. Either an almost impossible coincidence or event took place or it was a ghost. I find it far easier to accept the former. Let’s face it anything within the realms of physics and nature can happen no matter how impossible. The big bang for example. The evolution of life from the primordial soup.
On the on the hand it is yet to be proven beyond doubt that there is a spiritual world.
Still it provides hours of entertainment for many. Enjoy! :-)
I agree in part Crisis. As science progresses we discover more and more about matter and energy. Perhaps these "feelings" are simply our nervous systems being affected by naturally occuring energy fluctuations. They may be caused by all sorts of things. Our minds are very powerful things and you can convince yourself of just about anything.
That's a very dumbed down way of saying it, I guess. Sure, there's probably something triggering the feeling, but I don't think it's "spiritual" in origin. More likely something similar to the spikes that rise from the ground milliseconds before a lightning strike.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
I grew up in Elizabeth Downs (Don't hold that against me lol).
People always raved on about the "Haunted House of Elizabeth Downs". It was supposedly the home of the Bikini Ghost. A ghost wearing a bikini.
This was when I was a kid so I can't remember off hand where the house was located, but it was a well known story all through school.
I havent lived in SA for 8 years now, so wouldn't have a clue if the story is still going.
Oh fu** yeah! The julia farr, years ago i was doin security and i was with the boss learning this new security run anyway one of the places we had to go was that place and we were shining maglites in all the windows and then the boss started freaking out saying " did u see that, did u see that face" apparently he saw a really old guy bangin on a top floor window screamin to get out,i thought " yeah right, nice try" I asked him if he played that prank on all the guys learning that patrol and he swore he didnt, he was a very " straight" type not the type to bullsh*t, he was pale, freakin and shaking all night. I havent been near the place since, i quit that night. That joint was as creepy as.
