Are you into fitness? Maybe now is the time to start or build on existing routines. Even something like walking to pass the time, ride a bike (push bike), do weights and cardio exercises.
Failing that are you into reading? Could pass hours reading books if so.

I used to drive through mudgee all the time on my way to Cobar.
Nice looking place but nothing much to do, pretty much like all country towns I suppose.
If you are that hard up on weekends you can always go to the big smoke (orange or bathurst).
One of my friends got really drunk and had sex with a black guy in Mudgee.
She is a girl though, So that could be really awkard and kinda gay for you Mark.
Haha
*EDIT* Not being racist or anything. It was just her first guy that wasn't white..
LOL I lived in a Aboriginal community for 3 years and I love it when people act like 'small' towns are remote, It's like a half day drive from Sydney!
The vineyards in Mudgee are amazing, some of the best wine in Oz (I'm bias though as my ancestors started one of the first vineyards in Mudgee). It actually has some of the oldest grape vines in the world.
When you move to the country you should get involved in some sort of outdoor activity, like mountain bike riding, fishing, bushwalking, camping ..... the list goes on. Appreciate the good aspects of the move rather than focusing on what's better in the city and you will love the change in lifestyle.
number 4 is the tool required to slash your wrists...
well off to mudgee in the morning so thanx for all your help i guess ill just wait and see what the contry has to offer
