    Default Couriers

Just Wondering as im about to send some car parts from vic to nsw. ( supercharger set up) including the eaton m90 charger ,LIM and heads and a few pullies

How do i go about doing this as ive never done this before
Do i ring the courier company and they come pick it up and ship it or is it a different story ?

and the items weigh a fair bit so would i need a crate or something along those lines or would a cardboard box be ok?

Give Fastway Couriers a call, tell them what you got, how big it is, and where you want it picked up from and delivered to, tee it up with the seller and wait a few days for it to rock up.
I've used these guys for thousands of dollars worth of Bike and Music stuff and never once had an issue.

I'll clarify Smartsend a bit better, they use other companies for the delivery and pickup, but they are set up so that one off users can send things that auspost wont. (more of a booking service than a courier company) I've sent stuff and had other things picked up for me where i had to organise the courier, never had a problem with them with the times that i've used them. I wouldn't recommend Australian air freight, if they miss the delivery, you have to go to the depot to pick it up, not your local post office.

+2 for fastway, I send fragile framed prints using them. They have been top notch.

Hmm never heard of them?Do you mean Australian Air Express??If so there should be no prob picking up from post office ie they are a post and qantas owned company. And apart from Aussie Post the only ones who can take stuff to post offices.

Nah, around the newcastle area Australian Air Express won't drop it at a post office, you have to go to their depot to get it and there is only one in the area, Its about a 30 min drive from my place.
