Default Conclusion to police checking my car after I recieved a letter of demand.

    Hi Guys,

Last thread was closed as it got a little out of hand...lol...

Anyway, i Took my car to the Police station today after receiving a letter last Friday demanding I present my car for a RWC inspection.......

It turns out that one person made several complaints about me over a 1 week period (2 weeks ago) All claims were made after 8pm and had stated that the alleged offenses took place at 3:35pm weekdays at my work address.....

It's not likely that I am going to drive like a fool anywhere near work as I am a supervisor, and our Director & Production managers office are facing the road, Not saying I would anywhere else, but this would be the last place I would if i was going to...
(I'm just confirming that this was all brought about by lies towards me and my car)

So be aware if you p!ss someone off, if at work or on the road, they just might make a false report about you and have you wasting time at a police station near you to prove your innocence...

The Police officer in charge came out to my car, said well, "This is it" He checked all my tires, guards, doors windows etc, got into it and had a look around, pulled the handbrake, then popped the bonnet, at which point he said "Its in great nick",
he looked around the engine bay, then stood behind it and asked me to start it, at which point he said "don't turn it off coz your going............."

Before all of this we had a good chat, and he explained the claims made and showed me all the paperwork involved. He stated driving a car like this with those plates is going to get you noticed, and sometimes cause you trouble. I explained my position at work, and the reasoning as to why I think the claims were made. He agreed. after the examination he said nice to meet you, shook my hand and I left.

So Innocent until Proven guilty was the outcome and the attitude of the police today.
I'm sure they get an idea of the person you are when they first meet you as well, and of course they can check your records.....

anyway, my Car is looking and driving like new thanks to a motivational letter I received Friday........ I'm glad i got the letter, it opened my eyes up a bit on how some peoples heads work, not only in day to day life, but also on the internet.....

That's me, thanks for reading :-)

Good to hear it's all sorted not mate. And that your car was infact ROADWORTHY!

It must be frustrating for police having to deal with that sort of thing with people just trying to cause trouble for others and i the end only tieing up resources.

    Take it easy.

Glad it all worked out for you. Sounds like someones work life is about to get a little bit more difficult.

    Thanks mate,

I did ask them about chasing the person up for making a false report, but he said it wasn't worth wasting the resources............
This guy tried every way possible, he rang his local station, he also rang Crime stoppers....it was all in the paperwork.....
Funny thing is, last week he said numerous times, "Your car is going home on a Tow Truck today"
I asked him today, but he denied calling them :-)

Thanks Mate, nah I'm not that sort of bloke,
He obviously thought it would somehow make him feel better, He has been busting his bum for 8 yrs to get the Electrical/Pneumatics Supervisor role, and I landed it after being there 6mnths, i can see why he would be a bit upset.

We all have our flaws, He just has a bad way of reacting to situations......
Hopefully i can rub a bit of sense into him over coming months, He is only young (Late 20's) so he has plenty of time to improve his personality.
I think he has had a sheltered life and fed with a Silver Spoon for most of it, which at the end of the day isn't really his fault.

I'm sure he won't do it again, as it was an unsuccessful campaign on his behalf.

Thanks for the comments guys, it goes to show there are decent people on this forum after all :-)

Nice work. As others said, good to hear that your car is in fact roadworthy, and that you had no dramas with the cops.

All in All, I'd say that I am happy with the result.
I have been putting off adding new Cat's for about 6 mnths, couldn't justify spending that sort of money on myself.........
I now have a set of Twin Highflow 3" cat's, a spotless interior, an engine bay that looks fit for a show, and a clear conscience knowing my car is actually Roadworthy in a Traffic Policemans eyes :-)

    Thanx everyone :-)

Well done GOTMYN, I bet you felt very relieved when the officer said you can be on your way.
Its good to see even after a quick check that he found nothing wrong with the car.

I am also glad that he showed you the complaints, which showed it was someone from work that actually reported you, the truth always seems to come out in the end.

If the tool every ends up getting a VE Clubbie, make an effort to pass him repeatedly in your Fireblade.

did the complaint the cop showed you actually say what you were "dobbed" in for or was it just a bunch of whatever he could think of?

glad to see it still is and always was roadworthy as you stated.

Yes, It stated theat the complaints made were leaving work premises Fishtailing up the road, leaving marks everywhere, and covering the road in tyre smoke... As If I would do that at work...LMAO....
It also said that my car was in poor neglected condition... WTF??
