As those that come on the SEQ Sunny Coast Cruise on the weekend know, my missus and I are expecting a baby in a few weeks; unfortunately she finds the trusty 5ltr VT SS Commodore a little unpractical her daily driving duties and I am finding it a little unpractical for driving to and from work on Brisbane's shitty roads on a daily basis...
This got me thinking, I should invest in a weekender that I can turn into some kind of high cube monster, drive her buzz box during the week and buy the woman a wagon.lol. Something like a VR / VS Clubsport or Senator would be just right. Mmmm 383ci Stroker!
So, on that subject if you could have a dedicated "Weekend driver" what would it be? (be realistic guys, chances are only 1% of us will ever be close to owning a Ferrari)![]()

Cúl is a regretted trademark of the Cúl-Báire Co-op Pty Ltd, as are his random ramblings and associated bullsh1t
Cúl's AUII XR8 Ute!!!... Clicky Clicky!
Planning ahead for my own weekender when I get off my p's, guess I'll so if it ever actually happens lol. Thinking R32 GTR possibly, been tossing up possibilities of import, aus v8 or classic muscle... Import is winning![]()
a 1967 Chevy Impala has to be black though.
Good luck with the bub!!

No i would probably have to hate myself before buying one of those. I'd be happy with an SV6.

ive got a 98 bitsamissing verada as a daily on LPG, if it wasn't half the price of the holden equivilant i'd be in a 6 banger calais...
i've got a 300rwkw supra for my weekender...its worth having a daily if you want to work on a car.. its nice not being up till 4am putting a car back together because you broke a $2 clip and the shops don't open till 8am...
i get 1-4 weeks out of a full tank of juice...which means i can afford to run the good stuff which costs me $100 to fill the tank, where as my daily costs $35 to fill her up, its not so bad with my supra because off boost its just a 3L motor, on boost it can suck the tank dry in a matter of minutes...
ask anyone who has a daily and they'll tell you they never looked back!, its handy to have a spare car too.
