    Default Invisible Car Bras??

    Heya Folks,

We're looking at buying a new (used) car one of the ones on our shortlist happens to have an 'invisible car bra' you know the thick clear protective stickers on car bumper, mirrors etc. Now we think it makes the car look like shyte and if we were to buy it first thing we would want to do is remove the ugly thing but we're not sure how well it will work. Has anyone done this before? Does it come off easily enough? Don't **** the paint or leave too much sticky residue?

    Thanks

From what i have heard they come off with no residue. My concern would be if has caused the paint NOT to fade underneath it.I know they are clear but you never know.Just a thought.
What type of car are you looking at?

They aren't as good as the Wonder Car Bra, but just as difficult to get off with one hand

A fella in town had this problem with his - the paint at the back of the car faded whereas the paint under the sticky stuff looked completely different.

really depends on a few things, how old is the car?? how long has the car bra been on for?? what colour is the car?? how has the rest of the car been treated??

if its a car was made in the last 10 years, worst case would be the car needs a good cut and polish,

if its a 20 year old red charade, your up shit creek with out a paddle

I took off some around my ute tub. Came off ok and paint was good but it would depend on the colour of the car you're buying. The darker the colour the more different the paint would look.

There made from UV Stabilised PVC FIlm. This stuff is amost immune to the affects of UVA and UVB, as well as flame retardant. If your car was dead clean, it would 'static cling' on so hard you wouldn't need the sticky stuff.
