    Default Police never wrong?

Well yeah. long story short... the cops tried to put an intervention order on me from my missus....
On the piece of paper stating that should have been what she said, was actually her sisters words (all bs about me)
I went to court today with the missus and she stood in court saying that all the information was false... and we didn't even get an apology =.= anything i can do about this? I'm pissed... wasted a day in court and $40 petrol

EDIT: actually, i think i put thsi in te wrong thread... can one of the mods put it in the rant area (if there is one)

cops never get anything wrong, but they do seem to have issues with getting stuff right

unfortunately in the eyes of the court the police are considered expert witnesses and i'll admit they are experts at eating dougnuts and poor driving habits but thats about it

so they took you to court on your wifes sisters word without even checking with your wife first? i would be hoping that court fees would be waived at minimum , you wont get an apology from the police ... they just thought they were doing what they were supposed too ( half assedly at that ).

So I'm guessing that your wife's sister doesn't get invited to birthdays and over for Christmas?

Way I see it there is no smoke without fire. Surely there has been an incident to kick start all of this. Hypothetically for instance you are an angry and agressive person who may have threatened your wife and someone has decided to intervene on her behalf.

Just putting it out there as I see it.

Just a note fellas, with an intervention order all the Police do is enforce the order not issue it.
It is all done throught the courts(Magistrates)The persons wanting the order goes to the courts and askes for it and it is issued.
You them need to attend court to have it heard and you have the choice of acepting it,fighting it(it will then be heard at a later time) or try and mediate where you come to some sort of undertaking.

excatley what i meant the cops didnt make thie intervention order they only issued it on behalf of the magistrate. The only person you need an apology off is your GFs sister. who should also be charged for giving a false statement.

    Mate, there was a bloke on the news last week who got released from prison after 35 years, after new DNA testing found him innocent. Heres some advice;
    1) Go to Bunnings
    2) Get some Timber
    3) Build a bridge
    4) Get over it.

    well done..
and yes the cops do get it WRONG!

I myself have just had some success in court today, i have been fighting a traffic charge for the last 18 months. 5th time in court today and the lovely magistrate kicked the case out no charges to answer and case dismissed! i was involved in a accident where i was approaching the main road from a private farm drive way (in the country, quiet main road) 4x4 comes round the corner towing trailer brakes round corner causing the big tandem to jack knife and push him off the road up the private drive way i was sat in and crash in to me!
I was in my ute alone and the driver of the 4x4 that hit me had his mrs in the car they both stated i pulled out in to the road in front of them so the cops charged me with failing to give way even though the skid marks clearly showed what happened. (police didnt attend scene til 1 week after the accident!) the police told me because it was 2 against 1 they were charging me, that was after the police had prior told me there would be no charges after looking at the accident scene.
They also told me all the photos i had of the scene were useless in court unless i employed a expert witness to explain vehicle positioning in the photos, legal aid would not help me at all and i cant afford lawyers fee's so i took the case on myself

After 6 hours in court today the lovely lady magistrate looked at my photos of the scene and kicked it out..!!! justice at last! no demerit points and no fine! the police were trying to get it adjourned again because the informant (cop who charged me) didnt bother to show in court AGAIN!!

    ok rant over.. lol

Good to see others having some success as well , good on ya mate

they wouldnt take it off... Even when I got rebailed in Geelong police station they told me "Police are never wrong"
that is part of the reason, another part is that why would they listen to someone other then the person they are trying to "protect," even though shes been blackmailing us for the past 6 months, which set me back 10k
