... But yesterday afternoon I was right next to Russell Ingall's V8 Supercar on the back of a truck at the traffic lights at Kariong just off the F3 . Took a really bad photo with my phone, all you can see is like, a panel, not the whole car.

It was really cool seeing it in the flesh!! I passed it on the freeway just before I exited, thinking "Hey that's some bloke's racing car" and on the exit where it goes to two lanes it ended up just behind me and I've looked in the mirror thinking "That looks like a supercar!" so I backed up a little bit and I looked for the name and saw "Ingall' in the side window and was like COOL!!

Woulda been cooler to have seen "Skaife" there though .

But then, I suppose Skaife would be able to afford better than a TNT tow truck .

I've been thinking... I'm not sure if it was an official supercar or not because I don't think it had the racing spoiler/wing, I didn't get a good look at it but I think it was one of the more normal looking XR8 wings? Not sure.

I think the Ford BA XR6 and XR8's are the hottest car off the factory floor I've seen for a loooooong time.. I saw a new Holden Statesman the other day and it looks like an overdone Camry.

I've seen HRT Commodores near the corner of Springvale Rd and Wellington Rd here in Clayton, VIC... The HSV workshops are in Clayton (are the HRT workshops close by?) The cars were running without the front spoiler, but they had the full body kit (massive tail spoiler and all) and were on racing slicks... Not sure how legal that is. :-)

My favorite is when they're doing WRC rally, they have to drive on the public roads to the next events.. that's bloody awesome

I believe the HRT workshops are located in HSV itself, would love to get across town one day and check it out, hey we should get a few of us together and go on the tour

I'd definately be in for that, we could make a cruise out of it, go to HSV/HRT, then have a BBQ or something somewhere and socialise a bit etc.. what do you Melbourne chaps reckon?
