i can give you a defect notice now if you want. id say the mufflers would be quiter. i have a vr missing the last exhaust, but i have a p plate in the window so i try to be as unnoticed as possible. maybe do a combo, muffler/hotdog.

Straight thru muffler boxes are quiter and dont drone like hotdogs.

Ive tried 3 different exhausts myself and the latest one has straight thru muffler and is the quietest.

Its a twin 3 inch in and twin 3 inch out varex which replaced a twin in and out resinator box which was smaller in over capactity size.
The varex is much quiter than the resinator, and with it in the closed position quiter than stock.
I used to run twin hotdogs and that was the loudest by alot and also droney so that got ripped off very fast.

Moral of the story the bigger the mufflers expansion box the quieter it will be.

lol, thats why i'm asking, i hate to much noise and love being un-noticed. i had one with straight thru mufflers and rear resi but sounded crap/loud and couldnt fit in any more mufflers or hotdogs in it. .
i just got a straight thru X twin 2.25' into 3' (at diff) with no muffers at all. guna see if i can bang a few muffers/hotdogs in it to get it reasonably quiet, bearable anyway..
haha i wana chuck it on as it is now and see how loud it is will sound shocking

i've had mine off and on 6 or more times so far , stock (crap), xforce (horrible) , hsv vt (bitch to fit in), vy hsv ( ok but wierd flat stick, like its choking at high rpm) now try a custom made one, just gotta choose the mufflers. make that about 8 times
