says a lot about the safety standards of the cars that he walked away, wasn't even rattled by it he had the steering wheel off before the car had ground to a stop!
i know red bull is supposed to give u wings but thats just ridiculous, i dont think anyone told him its an F1 car not some red bull air race machine!![]()
YouTube - Mark Webber crash Valencia 2010 (for those who missed it)
That is an unreal crash. Purely amzing someone can walk away from that!
thats an amazing crash.. luckily hes ok..
Webber should be suspended. He almost killed another driver and himself. How is it every other driver on the track manages to go past slower cars without an issue?
Absolute joke and very very lucky.

What a load of shit. Webber was trailing and kovaleinen was aheaqd in position. He braked 80 metres short of webbers braking point. Clearly Webber should not be in the field if he cannot judge the slower drivers.
You seriously are deluded if you think it is anyone elses fault but webbers.

I laughed so hard when I was watching it. It should prove beyond all doubt to the Webber fan club that he really is just a dick head who should have lost his drive in F1 a LONG time ago. What a tool... If you can't pass a slower car, you've got serious issues!
So now this year he has taken out his team mate instead of giving him racing room, and now run up the back of a KNOWN slower car. What a joke!
it might have helped if kovaleinen had chosen a line and stuck with it, check out the replays he moves to the inside then moves back out, yeah its not by much but i can see how webber misread what he was doing. why he didnt just get out of the way i dont know he was being lapped by a car 3 seconds quicker, no points or position at stake.
but yeah webber could have moved out of kovaleinens slipstream a bit earlier too
Funny how people say it was webbers fault, when it wasnt, the lotus driver said over radio he was trying to block webber then got hit from behind, now why would he say that immeadiatly after the accicdent!! because he was racing and was not gonna give the corner up easy stupid lotus driver should hav moved over instead of trying to race the second fastest car on track, simpe fact. Bob.
Ohh, so slower cars cannot block legally?
Tell me something, when you run up the arse of a car on the road, whose fault is it? Now when you run someone off the track whose fault is it? Now when you run up someones arse who is a position in front of you regardless fo speed whose fault is it?
Oh yeah, it is the guy inf ront...brilliant logic einstein.

Minux your still wrong - no matter what you say. The slow slow slow Lotus should not have weaved all over the track - you can change once - but not 3 times. Then brake test the red bull - how stupid can you get. Youre gunna get hit if you do that.
Bring on the 107% rule - and fast.

Looked to me like Kovalainen was trying to me cheeky with his braking to throw Webber his fail, but it backfired.
I don't believe that Kovalainen should have moved out of Webbers way since he was on the race lap from what I have read but there is no way Webber could have forseen the sudden and unexpected braking. He was slip streaming too close to get around.
Going on race lines it looked like Webber was initially looking for the inside through the corner, then decided to pull left to go deep into the corner and get the run out but that's when Kovalainen braked.
I don't think either driver is at fault or both are equally at fault in this accident.
On a side note, would be interesint to know what exactly goes through the head of a F1 driver at the very moment their car it poiting right up into the sun glare.
I imagine something to the tune of "Hang on, this isn't quite right... where's the track gone?"
Wrong? How am I wrong, because your love child poster boy was in the wrong? He didnt weave all over the track he made one delibrate movement and hit the brakes at HIS point. Webber misread and ran him off the road and almost killed himself. He(Heiki) did not break test like you are making out. He simply brakes at different times to webber due to cars performance.
The 107% rule would of made no difference, all cars were within the 107% rule.

OK Minux you win - your wright and I is wong........
The video footage tells the story quite well I thought.
Lets see how the F1 world reacts - you kno the people that move in the F1 arena - lets see what they say over the next week.

Minux you are wrong, and comparing F1 to on the road shows how much you really know about it all, you seem to be the type of person who is never wrong and always is right, please getover yourself, and please dont take it the wrong way, Bob.
Ahh, webber can do no wrong aye, watch the video. If kovaleinen braked 80 metres early, then obviously they stop at about the 10 metre point into a slow corner from 300km/h. Contact was made at the 100 metre/yard sign.
It's ok though, do not let a good crush get in the way of facts
Oh, so you are saying if people ram someone up the arse in F1 then it is the opposite of every other road race category and it is the fornt person in the wrong?
Fact: Kovaleinen held centre line through the fast corner.
Fact: Kovaleinen held line into the corner
Fact: Kovaleinen moved to one side using his one move to defend.
Fact: Webber MISREAD the braking points and slammed up his arse
Fact: Webber IS in the wrong
I know the F1 rules pretty well, if you really think Webber is not int he wrong here you are delusional. Even Mark said himself it is "both their faults" however, you know he is in the wrong when he says "he had no chance against me, he should of moved over". In other words, he knows it was his fault, but to save face he will just say he should have moved over.
It is all very simple. Heiki was in front, Mark was not. Mark hit Heiki, Heiki did not hit Mark.
