Meh I quite liked the world cup. Months of talking Australia's chances up and we barely lasted a fortnight, now we dont hear anything about it.
I didnt get into it because Sweden wasnt in it although i have watched the occasional match.
Haha the hype from the Australian crowd, I even had a slight thought that Australia would score a goal!

I agree with a Germany v Netherlands final, with Germany to scrape it because they have the better all-round side. The dutch defence isn't overly special.

We shouldnt be to hard on Australia, i think there was a huge amount of expectation on them after they punched well above their weight at the last world cup, no one would have predicted we would be taken out just before the finals by the world cup winners and they had to chea to beat us.
Then they go this time and they were expected to win. I will say that it seems to me that the refs dont like us for some reason, Australia seems to be the subject of some very poor calls.
Australia isnt a big soccer playing nation, we are more so now than before we played in the last world cup, but it will take a few world cups before we can play at the same level that Brazil, German and some of the other big name world cup teams.
