Na, it probably wasn't rubbing, it would have been hard on the bump stops and snapped all the wheel studs off. I'd also say that being aftermarket wheels the centre bore of the wheel would be too big and not locate on the centre spigot therefore leaving all the weight to be taken solely by the wheel studs.
Still doesn't excuse they guy for being a total moose and overloading the ute....![]()
