Foamy did 2 for my VT. awesome stuff.
Not wanting to hijack the thread but how do these things work? I gather they are as plug in thing but does the person selling the chip need the car or is it programmed by them and then I plug it in?
On my VR it was quite noticeable mind you I got my tune from Mace as they responded straight away and also despatched the memcal quick.
It depends how much attention you pay to your car, and obviously what mods have been done. With my VN being stock i noticed sharper acceleration, sharper gear shifts etc. I know many think it's rubbish but i would definitely recommend it.how much of a difference do they actually make?

Went to my local wreckers and pulled a memcal out of an VN exec, delco custom tuned it and i swapped out the existing chip. Easy as that! What brand did you get?

got a delcowizzid tune in my vs and it does make a fair difference , i also have other mods aswell such as extractors and 2.5 catback but you do notice it if you swap the memcals out.
delco is a V6 guy as far as i know , foamy was mainly doing the 8`s ... i dont know what you have but i hope that helps.
What good tuners do is this...
If you've added high ratio rockers - add a little more fuel to the top end of the map.
Add more timing across the range
On mine - added more timing retardation below 1000 rpm because it came on way too hard at light throttle inputs with the oversize TB.
Add line pressure to the auto gearbox to speed up your shifts.
Change Rev limiter settings and / or auto shift points
Remove the low octane fuel map
Play with the fuel map to make use of whatever chanegs you've made to the engine.
It not only liberates more wasps, but can actually be better for the engine.
