    Default Is this legal?

Hey guys stumbled across this, its been tested in the US and aparentley jams the signal for a mobile speed camera to actually see what speed you are travelling.

    Laser Detector Jammers

Laser detector jammers are about to supercede radar detectors in a big way as the main method of defence against a speeding ticket. With the rise in popularity and decrease in cost of laser speed measuring systems, radar detectors will soon become a costly hood ornament. Only a jamming detector will be able to give you enough time to react and slow down!

With advances in speed detection, there have also been advances in laser detectors. The BLINDER laser detector/jammers use powerful sensors that can detect the use of laser guns far off in the distance. Within a few milliseconds BLINDER can identify the incoming signal, the number of pulses per second and identify through the use of a lookup table the correct counter signal, sending back a mimicking laser signal designed to confuse and nullify any speed reading
SPECIAL NOTE - BLINDER systems are built to jam police laser guns and laser speed cameras. However you do need to be intelligent about the way you use your laser jammer. If you're targeted by a police officer the buzzer inside the car will alert. Slow down, drop to the posted speed limit, and then shut off the jammer.

Ha! maybe if you are in W.A., even then i think they would be illegal over there. The Government is way to behind the times, because as soon as they bring out this new technology, someone else has already thought up of a way to stop it from working.

    inb4 Don't speed do gooders.

Sounds awesome, though seeming how you have to quickly deactivate it after it works near guarantees that it's illegal

For $635 to $1000 it would be cheaper to pay the tickets.

When the cop points his laser device at you and he gets some error, he/she will be on you like flies on shit.

Radar jammers are legal in W.A as they are considered a UHF reciever, no laser or radar jammer is legal in any other state, i'm not sure on laser in W.A but I doubt it would be legal.

The modern laser speed detection devices are designed to detect jammer technology, you can buy more expensive models which mask thier presence and then shut off, however in doing this they will fail to advise you of the situation.

Just don't speed, or buy a bike and take the plates off.

True, I don't think it would be good for them to be showing everyone that. However they had a traffic camera operator there and the worst result was 1 letter/number missing, which they can still pull a plate from, so not worth it.

I heard an old trick like spraying hairspray over the number plate, of course I never tried it.

mythbusters busted that one the other night.

i dont really speed, so it doesnt bother me, however i DO really like to see ingeniuos ways of beating those these stupid speed cameras. they are in no way a speeding deterrant, simply a revenue raiser. we should be heading over to the UK's way of handing out tickets, 0-30mile an hour over is 3 points and 60 quid, anything over that is a different ticket (i havnt got one b4 so dont know exactly what) so in a 30 zone you can do 50 in a 70 zone you can do 90 and you will get the same ticket as if you were doing 31 or 71

plus 0.08 BAC.. two pints in the first hour, one pint every hour after that.. not this retarded a stubby and 2/3's in the first hour then 2/3's every hour after... too complicated. retarded.

    retarded.

Gotta love those myth busters! I don't speed ever! So much cheaper for forking out for devices that supposedly block/jam speed cameras or paying speeding fines. Why don't you go buy one and put your arse on the line and tell us if they work
