factory cold air intake WILL fit, as the bottom of the air boxes are the same. it wont sit very nice over the fan shroud though, as the v8 one has a hump for the clutch fan.

Woops. I should have paid more attention to the question, your a 100% correct. I thought he meant the whole intake system, like from the throttle to the airbox etc.

it will fit i have a v8 cai on my vr v6 just a matter of swapping the airbox over. it doesn't look all that great from the side but it does the job
