Default Help me remember! Peugeot problem

Before holdens it was peugeot's for me... I know, i know but atleast i talked sense into myself and havent owned one for a while... Wasnt my fault it was my old mans as he's a pug nut.

Anyway we did an engine conversion into his 205 GTI. We put a 306 2L twincam motor into it and ran Haltec with MSD spark. Alot of power for an 800kg car lol.

Anyway, its been dynoed and has been running great for the last year but last couple days its been doing this weird thing just the same as my VS did ages ago. Problem is i cant remember how i fixed it.

The idle goes high (Around 2000rpm) and sort of hunts everynow and then. It sort of quickly drops in rpm then revs back to 2000 within a split second. Ive disconnected the IAC while the revs are normal to see if it was that but it rises back to 2000 after a while. If you turn the motor off and restart it it goes away, exactly the same as my VS did.

The throttle is closing properly, ive changed the MAP sensor, theres no vacuum leaks i an find.

Its got me buggered, how can the engine rev up with the IAC disconnected and the throttle doesnt stick? It cant be a vacuum leak by the way it corrects itself when the motor is switched off then on again.

Just wish i could remember lol.

I dunno... but please check your email hasn't been taken over by spammers or that you don't have some sort of virus. I seem to recall getting a mass email from you a few days ago with some shitty spam link in it.

I would of said it was an IAC valve problem. Can you plug the hole off somehow and try it?
