I watched part of the show called RBT last night, i don't know if anyone else on here caught it.
I didn't get to see the whole show but i caught the bit where a young girl on her P plates was caught with a reading of .100, or something very close.
She had some BS story about trying to save her friend by driving to get her insulin needles for her diabetic condition.
What amazed me was she was over double the limit for a open license holder, yet she only got 9 months suspension and a $250.00 fine.
Is it just me that thinks that the punishment in this case is way to soft for the offense committed?
When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all,,,,,,,,,

That girl needed a massive slap. Her story was absolute bullshit, and it just made her look like the stupid bimbo she is.
If they want to get rid of drink driving then the penalties need to be more severe.
It was a load of crap her story went from needing her needles and needind a coke? im sure where they serve alcohol there is coke?
She deserved more than what she got the judge was obviously having a good day
Stupid skank blew .123 on a zero limit, and got less of a fine and disqualification than when i blew .108 20 years ago on an open - I got 10 months and $1000, she got 9 months and $250.
I am absolutley apalled.
hey rippen50, thats what my dad said..he said that the girl was havin a skitz or someshit and needed coke so she had to go find coke, which is why she was driving..then she's like, oh i needed to get a needle for my diabetic friend...haha i swear i saw her read .165 in the back of the van or whatever...wait..maybe that was .123 i dunno can't remember..then the coppers go, thats bad..and she's like what, is it bad? really, how bad? HAHAHA

I could be wrong.. but isn't it a criminal offence (IE goes onto your criminal record) to drink drive and some countries won't allow you to enter if you are a convicted criminal..?
You are correct Troy. Drink driving is a crime so if you have been convicted of drink driving, you must answer "yes" to applications that ask about a criminal record. As a result, you may not be able to obtain a Visa to enter certain countries however when a Visa is not required, they're not going to know.
The only way to stop drink driving is to install breath test immobilisers into all vehicles. Personally, I would LOVE to see that happen!
i watched it 2........the part that made me laugh was when she all of a sudden she new where her license was.......down her pants......bahahhahaha
stupid whore. haha all those slutty tats down her arm.
she kept stumbling on her words and repeating everything she said. obviously pissed.
gotta love the rbt bogans.
Just asking, i didnt watch the show but a p plater chick blew over .12, and had her license disqualified for 9 months?
In vic the minimum cancellation for that is 12 months, maybe the show's not accurate? or a different state maybe.
You really think that taking their licence away for two years will help? Theres too many dropkicks that drive anyway.
Theres an Ad on TV at the moment for a different RBT show tonight I think, where this bloke blew 5 times over and already had a suspended licence and his f**kn dropkick answer was "Everywun dus it"
Problem is there is bugger all punishment for driving on a suspended licence. Two years loss of licence, if caught driving have two years in prison to think about it.
he ended up with a 9 month jail sentence and suspended licence until 2016.
how was the $75 fine for the woman with the unregistered car, and she hadnt changed her sticker for 5 years apparently. i thought it was a heftier fine then that.
It is wtf????
I got a $570 fine in Vic.
more suprising is how inncaccurate are the cops piece of crap roadside breathos - how many people have they "arrested" , dragged em down the station then the guy blows under. Stuff that - they should get better equipment or dont use crap simple!@
Depends on when they finished drinking though, Some of them might have sculled the last bit and got in the car. So when they get tested they blow an inacurate reading. So its kinda hard.
so the ones u see on boats - they gunna haul someone off a boat - down to the station - - prob 20 minute trip or more - to find out hes under - if that were me id be more than pissed they ruined my day - = in particular one bloke blew .055 so yes over - but by a smidge. they hauled him down the station and ull never guess what ----- he blew under - think the cops coulda used some discretion and gave him a warning - instead theyve clearly wasted there time and his
Plus its often a pretty big delay between it.
Discretion won't always work though, somebody may blow just over .05 and be let through and they continue to drive with a rising BAC and have an accident
Not everybody is honest when it comes to answering how much they've had to drink and when they last had a drink so if police used discretion you'd have a lot more people over .05 on the roads
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
It wont always get lower either, there is what is called the alcohol curve. If you have 2 drinks in half an hour and get stopped 30 mins later the alcohol wont have all absorbed into your system when you get the breath test on the side of the road, so its possible that if you blow 0.055 on the road side or the harbour side LOL breath test that in 30 mins after getting back to the station you might blow higher on the breath analysis machine. Happens quite alot at work. Alcohol can take up to 14hrs to get completely through your system depending on how your metabolism processes it. So when you drink alcohol it actually continues to climb for a period of time before it reaches as peak and then comes down. Sort of like how your metres above sea level raise as you drive over a mountain and then drop as you drive down the other side. Matt
