Well 2day on my way out i nearly get wiped of the road as a bloody idiot drove threw a red light, while crossing the intersection i looked to my left and i see this car and i think ' lol this guys going pretty fast when its red' then it hits me that he is not going to stop as i was looking straight at hes face the ass was laghing and as he came to the intersection i had to floor the car as he was about to smash my side of the car, as i was looking back at the other drivers if hes going to hit them and luckaly he did not scrape or hit anyone, but the stupid thing is he went threw the intersection and then he slammed on the brakes?u can see hes trailot fishtailing.IDIOT! he was in those Hilux utes but with a trailer.
2nd part of the day,
Went to girlfriends house for dinner, Heard noises outside so i went to check whats going on turn the side light on nothing, go to the back yard turn the light on i see nothing...noise goes quite...i close the curtains.
Now i hear some1 screaming so i put the light on again look outside and i see a woman terring down the fence, I open the sliding door and i hear her yelling for help, screaming at the top of her lungs( she was very short woman in her 70's) i just seen her threw the broken fence berly standing, So i ran outside thinking she might be getting robbed or something bad happen to her husband i had no idea what was going on, I ran to the fence and seen what i wouldnt of imagined, Her house was In Flames, Burning out of control...So i quickly jumped the fence i asked her Is there anyone in the house, the poor lady did not know english she was speaking to me in germen or something so i tryed again slowly explaing she still did not understand, I went to the back door of her house i tryed to open it but she had somehow locked the doors, I seen a chair and i grabed it and i smashed it threw the door, i know that pressure can make the fire worse but i was not gonna let anyone die.
I went inside the house, the smoke was that strong that it got me to my knees i couldnt breathe, i put my shirt over my mouth and i went threw the house and god was it hot in there, There was nobody in the house. God damn was i relived, i went back outside and her neighbours where there trying to put the fire out, 5 minutes later the fire brigade came and put the fire out, My lungs are burning at this point. ouch....I really feel sorry for her as i can see her in my head trying so hard to get my attention and tell me the house is on fire....I tryed my best to save her house but it doesent feel enough
Sorry for the long post
PS: she is fine now and im glad she got out in time

We had some good times
Pretty shitty day if you ask me mate.
Usually when we rock up to a house fire like that It's gonna be fairly unlikely there's not going to be much we we can do to save the property from at the very least severe fire and smoke damage. If it happens again though, prob best not to run in even if there's people inside.
The smoke (which is basically unburnt fuels which could ignite or "flashover") is some really nasty stuff. Thence why your lungs are burning.
If this is the worst day you ever have ever had, your doing well. Your still breathing, no one you know is dead.

Have to agree with Minux. We all have bad days, look beyond the bad and find the good, your alive, shes alive and focus on that.
Geez mate, that's a terrible day you had to go through.
I'm glad everyone made it through ok.
As above, I think your ****ing mad for entering a burning house, especially without any training or equiptment but good on you for checking it out, would only take seconds for a small child to die in there.
Christ that was hard to read. These things happen though mate (all the time), the main thing is everyone's ok.
Congratulations on your sheltered fortunate life![]()
I'm glad for you that all worked out ok, but I wish to hell you would learn to punctuate your stories.
Yeah I lost my old man on Saturday, Unexpectedly. Worst day of my life. Nothing is the same.
I missed out on my regular Sunday morning sleep in on Sunday. Sucks so hard! Wish I could go back and change things... I need more sleep.
**** theres some cynical pricks on here. Seriously.

Reason I was being a tad cynical about the oldmates efforts in trying to save someone who was possibly in the house is because he could have quite easily become a casualty.
Being in a fire situation like that can, as someone else alluded to above kill someone in literally seconds. The levels of Carbon Monoxide, not to mention other nasty stuff like Hydrogen Cyanide etc is enough to render someone unconcious with a few breaths, and kill them in minutes. We don't enter a building (or any hazardous environment) without Breathing Apparatus (BA) for that exact reason.
It's not so much having a go at the OP, it takes a fair bit of bravery to go doing things like that without BA, protective clothing, helmet and a freakin hose lol. Just making people aware of how dangerous it can be, and also a small reminder smoke alarms can save lives :-)
Yeah thats fair enough. I wasn't really commenting on your post such. Just the "I'm so much harder then the rest of you" posts.

LOL I would love to see someone actually manage to throw a red light. Would be a pretty big pain in the arse to get the red light down in the first place let alone manage to throw it as well![]()
Pretty heroic thing to do running into a burning house to see if anyone was still stuck inside. Not many people would do that especially for a stranger. You're obviously a decent bloke and hope your lungs recover ok.
Hey it was 1am, i was tired my brain ran out of power so my spelling is off, but im sure use get what im talking about.
I ran in the house as i seen litle kids playing in the backyard day before so i thought they could be in the house.
Im glad that everyone is okay.

**** mate what a day. Glad things weren't worse and everything turned out ok. Good on you for risking your own arse running into a burning house to see if there were still people in there. Not many people would do that.
You should never enter, under any circumstances, a burning house. there are too many factors that will kill you. Yes, its hard to just stand back and KNOW there's family members/pets/crucial documents burning inside. But you'll just add to the casualty count. Even as a trained fire-fighter and being in the volunteer firefighting force, its extremely difficult to even manuvre in full fire fighting uniform. Steam forming up, the heat, CO level, the equipment...What more unprotected body.
I commend your actions. It is brave. I've seen neighbours standing and just gawking at another's neighbour house when it caught fire. No doubt they waited for the fire brigade to come.
As for the red light jumper, hope he gets nailed by the law. or get t-boned by an even bigger truck
c'mon peeps give the guy some credit, thats a shitty day by anyones standards.....
As you said mate, last thing we wanna be doing is dragging someone else out. But good on you for doing at least something Dragz. If your lungs still hurt now, i'd recommend getting checked out by a Doctor too. Carbon Monoxide and the vast amount of other shit can be VERY harmful to your lungs and general health. Hence why we wear the BA.
If i seen kids playing in the back yard the day before, and the woman couldn't even tell me if they were or weren't in there, i think i would have run in aswell to check it out myself.
That was a stupid thing to do, but in that kind of situation, you just don't know what you are capable of doing with the information you know. I'd like to hope i'd go in if i could and help someone not burn to death, it's easy enough now to say all this stuff, but in that current situation.............who knows?
I say you did what you thought was right at the time............yes you could have killed yourself.........but you didn't.
Am glad everyone is ok![]()

Shit I was gonna come in here and whinge about my shitty day but it doesnt compare to almost getting wiped out, going into a fire or losing your dad
Dragz hope your lungs are ok!
Ethann sorry to hear bout your dad. Losing a family member sucks at any time, but a parent is even worseSorry for your loss
Another day, another epic JC thread....![]()
