Worst eBay response ever???

Ok so I find an ad on eBay for lowered springs for commodores:

BRAND NEW PACK Front&Rear King Springs Holden Commodore - eBay Other, Suspension, Steering, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 27-Jul-10 23:45:54 AEST)

They don't list any part numbers, just mention that they'll fit VR-VZ. With the knowledge that this information is insufficient, I ask if they could kindly supply part numbers. Here's the response I received:

they're all tightly wrapped up in plastic inside the box and I'm NOT going to break them open just for you. These ARE COMMODORE and suit all of them except IRS. I f you don't believe me, then don't bid and you'll miss out of brand new PARTS. They were purchased from a place that specialises in holden parts.

why don't you go to any holden forum and you'll see them all talking about these kings springs for their commodores.

I'm not splitting open the pack just for you because then the winner of this auction (not you) won't be happy and the parts won't be brand new anymore.

You're not worthy of these commodore parts. I'd rather a true commodore loving owner wins this bargain.

WTF? I'm not sure whether I should even bother dignifying this with a response!

Sure they may physically fit non-IRS Commodores, but they sure as hell don't suit every variant (V6, V8, sedan, wagon, ute, etc.). It ain't one spring-rate fits all buddy!!! Not to mention the fact that live-axle rears were phased out by the time the VT hit the scene!!!

Yeah... I regularly buy brand new stuff that doesn't have packaging. It's just in a plastic bag because that's what the manufacturer did - I guess the packaging machine was broken. I also have heaps of DVD box sets. They are labelled "TDK" and they are all gold, in a shoe box. But they are genuine brand new from the manufacturer.

How the hell has a scammer like this lasted so long on eBay? I might go create a new account and bid on some of her items...

I buy heaps of items that don't have full retail packaging. Many industries have a retail packaged version with nice glossy boxes etc and an oem version that has the bare essentials to transport the item safely. Not uncommon at all.
