Woman... hilarious! (well not the injuries)

A woman riding a quad bike across a paddock in far northeastern Victoria has ended up under a cow.

When the 55-year-old collided with the cow near Tallandoon on Tuesday morning, her all-terrain vehicle flipped over and landed on top of her.

But that wasn't all - the startled cow lost its footing and toppled over, pinning the woman to the ground.

The mishap occurred around 11.30am (AEST) and paramedics eventually airlifted her to Royal Melbourne Hospital.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the woman suffered a serious head wound and a possible back injury

I worked on a dairy during uni for about 2yrs, its very hard to see them early in the morning in heavy fog, having said that you just go slow.

Wow that's got to suck. How could you possibly tell anyone, you hit a cow, then the quaddie landed on you, and then a cow landed on you, all in under 1 minute, I mean that instant LOL right there.

Yeah, they actually do pop out of nowhere.

I have to drive along a 15km dirt road out to the mine site I'm currently at.

I have lost count of the amount of times I have slowed down for cows, looked down momentarily to check the uhf radio, only to look back up and one of them is bloody right in front of me.

When they get going they can move fast.
